I'm the same person that was telling everybody the dame/giannis trade would not work and got called all kinds of names
Both y'all opinions are horrible on sports and consistently wrong
5 first round picks for a "b" player
Trade is so bad they had to give up the suns/wiz first round pick just so they could giveaway their top free agent from last year, KCP. Giving him away cause they signed him to too big of a contract? Who offered that contract? Cost the magic a first round pick and didn't advance a round
The magic have been an incompetent franchise since forever, this is further signs of their incompetence.

magic still have first round draft pick this year next year and 2027 and 2029 this is not the same as some other teams who traded 4-5 picks and were left with no first round picks for the foreseeable future 
the only argument is maybe they couldve got a better player ? what if they tried and teams didnt want to trade ? also players like KD and Giannis wouldnt fit with Orlando core and they dont want to play there anyway (KD listed Spurs, Rockets, Heat only)

Magic didn't move the needle, they actually gave away a pick cause that was the only way to get rid of KCP (who they just signed), Banchero, Wagner and suggs dealt with serious injuries last year, their depth is non-existent, now is not the time to trade away this amount of assets for the third best player from an #8 seed.
I don't see what's difficult to understand.
Yeah we've got to make a move. Both arent in future plans.

Orlando has depth, but they have depth for the sake of having it without really utilizing it.
To sum up, you wouldn't have made this trade because you don't believe in Banchero, Wagner, and Suggs as a trio.
Banchero, Wagner, suggs and bane is not a championship contending core, that would be correct.
If this trade would've been made for Ja Morant, ok
Desmond Bane. Not a chance, no way

but them not being a championship core wouldn't have anything to do with Bane. You think one or more of Banchero/Wagner/Suggs ain't ever gonna be good enough, especially if you're seeking someone like Ja who's more of #1/#2 type of guy.
and I don't think they're winning a title either; most cores don't, but could they make noise in an East without the Celtics in the way? Sure and that would make acquiring Bane worthwhile.
Suggs is expendable and Wagner may have trade value along with picks if your looking for a superstar
KCP contract ensured that matching salaries would not be a problem in a trade
These draft picks add to your bench over the years and your possible the deepest team in the league by 2030
If this team flames out in the first round next year, what's next? A good part of your capital is gone
I wouldn't be worried about the Celtics right now, I I was in the Orlando front office I want this team to be set up for a 5-10 yr run after I put the pieces in place, sad to say but this is a move a gm makes because hes gonna get fired if the team doesn't improve next year.
I'll give u 2 first rounders+KCP, and I'm gonna need another player if u want Cole thrown in for Bane or I'm hanging the phone up

Ja Morant wouldn’t fit with this Orlando nucleus. Bane’s shooting and his ability to score off the dribble will fit right in. And he’s going to a dominant defensive squad, so he’ll fit in defensively, nicely also.
Did you not read any of @Tres Leches posts the last couple of days? We still have a good amount of picks, including a first this year, in which we can find a point, or use it in another trade to bring one in. We didn’t mortgage anything.
