The Memphis Grizzlies have traded Desmond Bane to the Magic for KCP, Cole Anthony, FOUR unprotected 1st round Draft picks and a 1st Round Pick Swap

Ja Morant wouldn’t fit with this Orlando nucleus. Bane’s shooting and his ability to score off the dribble will fit right in. And he’s going to a dominant defensive squad, so he’ll fit in defensively, nicely also.

Did you not read any of @Tres Leches posts the last couple of days? We still have a good amount of picks, including a first this year, in which we can find a point, or use it in another trade to bring one in. We didn’t mortgage anything.

Trading away five first rounders means u better hit on the remaining picks, your odds have lessened, and u might find yourself in a Kyrie Irving type situation, miss the playoffs due to injuries and now the Grizzlies got the #1 pick because you put no protections on your pick. No protections at all.


The magic GM has no negotiating skills. He threw in a first rounder cause that's the only way he could get rid of his free agent signing from last year that he signed KCP. Every first rounder unprotected.

His catch and shoot numbers are cheeks and Franz is essentially a point guard his damn self. One of the best drivers in the league and now he has one of the best 3point shooters off the catch in the league to kick it out to.

Bane is making 40 million a yr for the next 4 years, thats a lot of money for a 3rd option. Good luck signing someone else

Magic didn't move the needle, they actually gave away a pick cause that was the only way to get rid of KCP (who they just signed), Banchero, Wagner and suggs dealt with serious injuries last year, their depth is non-existent, now is not the time to trade away this amount of assets for the third best player from an #8 seed.

I'm at a loss cause 2 of the players who helped get them to the playoffs got traded but they trash supposedly so I'm guessing goga bitazde is the most underrated player in the league? Him and Jett Howard apparently?


Overpaid massively for a 3rd option sacrificing future capital, salary cap space and a homegrown talent.
