Nah they wasnt pissed at it from my knowledge. My kinfolk out there fukked with it they said they knew the family of the cat who got killed at his concert back then but I remember some years later the conversation randomly came up about that song and I asked did they take it as a diss or nah and they aint take it like that they said back then that banging shyt was serious business and they took it as Quik acknowledging what they had going on. They pointed out the part where he said Denver wanna be like Compton was more of a diss than anything. A lot of inner cities around the entire country is starting to feel the way people described crime in the 90’s. Oakland feels lawless lately.

oakland feels lawless in regards to property crime/robberies, but it doesn't feel like the 90's/00s to me for murder. altho i'm clearly much older and more removed from that element, so maybe i'm just out the loop
