WASHINGTON, DC
Jan Vesley

As soon I got in my car to drive home from my internship in DC I heard the entire Czech Embassy was at Verizon Center for the Wizards draft party. I yelled out while I was driving so pissed. I was so sure they would draft Kawhi.

Got home, put on ESPN hoping for someone else to take Vesley. Was hoping for the Cavs or Raptors to do the dumb deed. But it didn't happen :mjcry:

In 2013, I remember the Wizards wanted Bennett and I was :blessed: when the Cavs took him #1

EJ Manuel. I put the blinders on and tried to believe in him but Manuel was worse than Ponder at FSU. In the college game he didn't process the field quickly enough; wasn't accurate; and seemed to lack arm strength.

As in, what player did you know was a bust (in any sport) as soon as they were drafted. For me, id have to say Jan Vesely. Before the draft they were hyping him up as a 7 foot super athletic sf:mjlol:. Had absolutely no skillset whatsoever. Remember reading a draft writeup about him like ":patrice:So what does he actually do . :skip:A 7foot Euro with zero skills gonna make it in the NBA? Lol ok:duck:".When the Wizards picked him at 6 during the 2011 draft i was just sitting there like
incredulous.gif

Pretty sure he's already back in Europe :bryan:. Yall got any other players you just knew were bust from day 1?

That privilege, he was basically James White with even less skills and James White went in the 2nd round :wow:

Rafael Aruajo had to be it though, that was my first year following mock drafts and no one had him that high. I was watching with my friends and everyone in the room went :pacspit::snoop::mindblown: that they picked this short armed, fat cac-ish motherfukker over Iguodala and Granger

The Hawks made two of the worst back-to-back picks ever in '05 and '06.

Marvin Williams in '05 with the second overall pick when EVERYBODY knew they needed a point guard and Chris Paul and Deron Williams were both on the board. Then when they promised Shelden fukking Williams they would take him at 5 if he was still available ("still" :mjlol:) in '06.

No surprise Billy Knight hasn't had another job in the NBA since he "resigned" from the Hawks.
