Very good article, though I found it to be a bit over-wordy. Morey should be getting raked over the coals for this off-season and there's barely a peep about it.
I'd be fascinated to read something about the favoritism in sports media, starting with Grantland and Simmons (who I like overall, but has some disgustingly biased tendencies). ESPN's basically given Simmons free reign and plastered him over all their NBA coverage, so that'd be a great object for something more in depth. From his absurd trade scenarios to his blind devotion to Morey on one end while lambasting David Kahn on the other end, I think there'd be a lot of material.
Imagine if Kahn had an offseason where he gave away two key contributors to a seemingly up-and-coming playoff team and lost a third one because he had the team opt out of a sub-$1 million contract to let the guy test free agency.

If I didn't grow up around rockets fans I probably could have gotten accepted into Harvard or Yale. Being around rockets fans stunts your growth.
