I know too many people who jagged that money off.. People got more money sitting on they a$$, than working.. And they tricked all of it..

Its people who actually did the right thing, and they're still in a jam.. I feel bad for them.. But them irresponsible mfers.. :yeshrug: Its more jobs than workers right now.. They need to go get one and stop making excuses..

Of course there’s more jobs than workers when it’s not possible to have more workers than jobs :gucci:

Sat here and watch my cousin blow his 10k in stimulus/unemployment on a new car, 65-inch tv, clothes and other shyt. Just for him to go back to work making less and not even pay all of his back rent. He's gonna lose his apartment and live with his girl. shyt is just weird man, i wish i was able to get money like that
most people have very little guidance about how to handle money or what to even do with it. There is a heavy guidance issue out here. A good deal of it has to do with the 'kick them out at 18' stance that is prevalent here in the US but that is another discussion to be had.

Also very little financial education in high school. "Take out whatever loans you need to finish college." doesn't count and yes I heard that from multiple folks in authority during my hs days.

Because America has trained their population well to always side with capital. If capital makes mistakes they get the benefit of the doubt and government socialism. If individuals make mistakes clearly the most reasonable outcome is to be made homeless and to die in the streets. Brainwashing works folks
Yup.

it is because people have this mentality that they should live for free on someone else’s dime.
So fukking ironic cause I assumed you were talking about landlords here when I first read it. And you don't even see it.

Breh why are landlords so greedy? I hate when I see people make posts about how "oh landlords have more expenses than you think". Many of them also have. multiple tenants paying the same price for rent so why do they feel the need to still charge so high to "supposedly" cover their mortgage and personal expenses
I don't think landlords are any more greedy than most people who make money off of other people's lack. And there's a lot of other people who don't make money off of the lack of others who WOULD if they could. It's the normal greed that comes when you have control over money. And it gets even worse if you have debts to pay off. See what @PhillyzFinest wrote below.

This is a byproduct of the debt based economy that we live in. It's based on an old English model of Feudalism.

A History of Landlords: Rent & the Feudal Origins of a Non-Working Class

"
The Historical Origins of Rent
While the warlords, aristocrats, and Church officials who made up the landholding class mostly occupied political, military, and religious roles, it was the peasants who did the work in feudal society. Unlike the nobility, few peasants had their own land and many were considered serfs (an Old French word related to servant and slave) who were legally prohibited from leaving the land they cultivated without their lord’s permission due to laws dating from the late Roman empire. In most cases, serfs were bound to work the same land as their ancestors, which meant that serfs were essentially leased along with the land by one landed lord to another. While free peasants at least could move or be married without permission slips, their circumstances were rarely better. Since most were landless, landed lords demanded rents from peasants in exchange for the right to work the soil, often paid with daily labor or with a hefty part of the peasant’s own harvest."

The coronavirus pandemic was the perfect monkey wrench to screw up a system that is designed to keep people paying bills and working for money.

There is more debt than dollars in existence.

The way the system works, we will always have two dollars in hand and three dollars in debt. And to cover, you'll need to borrow four dollars to cover the three. And on and on and on.

The FED creates money out of nothing.

The FED then sends the money to the US Treasury.

The Treasury spends their money on infrastructure, war, etc.

The contractors put their money in the bank.

The banks create money through lending and that's how we get access to money.

But we always have to pay that money back.

The bank will give the landlord money to purchase the house.

But the landlord gotta pay the mortgage.

But the tenant pays the landlord so the landlord can pay the mortgage.

If the tenant can't get the money, the system stops.

It's all screwed up.

This is ultimately just an old English model reimagined.
Great post. I've talked about this on other subjects but it makes sense with the rent model too - the debt-based model is a motherfukker for exploitation.

Breh we not talking about investing in the stock market, 401k, etc. We are talking about paying rent, something that has been drilled into our souls since childhood.

I’ve been waiting for this to end. I won a state contract last year and this has been holding it up.

:eat:

Sorry to anyone about to lose their home. Hopefully you made a plan over the last year.
