They were never gonna vote Embid as MVP over their “lytics” guy. Cacs didn’t even need a good reason to flip back, just anything to cast doubt
Nah, I think embiid was the slim favorite as of late
If he repeated the Philly performance on Jokic's court, think he'd be the big favorite to win

He should've sat in Phx and played in Denver:hubie:

The full court press in the media to justify giving it to Jokic though is crazy. Like it was straight up this one game determines it all. I didn’t expect that.

🧢
the mvp narrative shifted when Denver started to lose in early March, everyone was saying it's Joel's to lose. nikka didn't show up to the biggest game of the year after all that talking he was doing. If he loses, he's the one to blame.

So we are supposed to take any random twitter account as fact
Happens in most of the other sub-forums, why would this section be different?

Not only is it random, the spelling of "favourite" in the tweet points to an overseas random guy.

You just felt like typing because the shyt you said had nothing to do with what I’m talking about: I’m specifically talking about the narrative that missing that one game would be enough to sway an MVP vote when Embiid cooking Jokic earlier in the year did nothing to sway his firm advantage. All that other shyt you’re talking about has nothing to do with anything.

Whether or not Embiid is your MVP, that one random game shouldn’t be the deciding factor versus an entire body of work.

There's an element of "what have you done for me lately" in this...right or wrong

Media was licking their chops

You just conjured this bullshyt up in your head.

Nobody is saying this game determines it all. We don’t even know how the panel will vote. The odds are simply set based on who Vegas thinks the frontrunner is, in combination with driving betting action for both. This game was a major determining factor given how close it has been between them both. It only makes sense Jokic moved back into [betting] favorite given Embiid didn’t show up.
