So as a paying customer you're okay with the Sixers tanking it the way they are.

I mean let's be real, here. To me those who buy season tickets are partly to blame if they are supporting the nonsense. I'm unhappy with the Dolphins right now and i tell everyone who has season tickets to NOT renew this sh!t until we see change. But if you are fine with long extended rebuild projects go ahead.

If the end result is a title contender, then why not? I'm a Mets fan, whom didn't really watch/go to games in 2015. Harvey comes back and a mid season trade had me watching and going to games. In Philly, nobody has really fukked with the Sixers, but believe they will if they become the 2010 Thunder in 2 years.

YOu must do what it takes, period. Wheel and deal. Don't just sit there and hope a generational player will fall on your lap.

Look at Pat Riley in Miami. Forget that we got lucky with Wade turning into a star. But focus on all the wheeling and dealing he did to keep the team respectable and never be bad for more than 2 years going on 20 years now. He had GUTTED that roster 4 times and quickly rebuilt every time.
You're assuming teams at the bottom are not doing that. Philly has been wheeling and dealing the whole time if you haven't noticed. They have an ungodly amount of picks.

Miami is not the example you wanna use. They had their generational star and it's fukking Miami. They have an avenue to add guys that Philly at the moment doesn't have.

Yeah, the Sixers aren't tanking this year, they just aren't very good.

But it is all of the previous years of tanking that is leading them to so bad this year...

Almost every pick they draft that is not a big man as soon as he show some promise they send him out...

They don't go after veteran free agents at all...

So if you do that for years...trade away young players for whatever reason and never try to get veterans players...then you end up with the team they have now...

Had Javelle Magee...a headcase but a certified nba player...waved him...

Had crash...up in age and body falling apart...but a certified nba player...waved him...

Joel Embiid is the second highest paid player on their team :russ:

Jahlil Okafor is the third...:russ:

There is no fukking way on earth you are trying to build a real team if your rookie center is the 3rd highest paid player on your active roster

Half there roster makes less than a million dollars a year

The only player I think they messed up on shipping out is KJ McDaniels. They could've kept him and re-signed him still on a bargain deal.

MCW is trash and they traded him while his value was at it's highest. The Lakers pick >>> MCW

Gerald Wallace at this point in his career is absolute garbage. There's a reason no one signed him once Philly waived him.

Also Philly doesn't even have the lowest payroll in the league

Only Portland has a lower payroll and once it was known Aldridge was leaving it made no sense not to blow that team up...the guy they spent years building around is gone, why hang on to all the pieces you put around him?

Like who is the player that Philly is even building around? Is it Okafor? Building around a guy who is out here defending his fight club championship every night? Is it Embiid? He has played all of 0 seconds in a real nba game. Is it Noel? He is a great defender and rebounder but his offensive game is probably never going to be good enough to build around. Or is it some other guy that they haven't drafted yet? In that case they haven't really started building anything then.

Wallace was old and washed up but I'd put money on him being a better basketball player right now than half the guys on the 76ers roster...

MCW problem is that he is a bad point guard...that doesn't mean he is a bad nba player...he could carve out a nice lane for himself as a defensive guy...his jumpshot needs a serious overhaul but I've watched Kawhi Leonard go from a guy who shot the basketball like a shot put to being one of the deadliest shooters in the entire nba so anything is possible...

Who was going to sign there that would affect their win loss record?

To me...virtually any NBA player who has been in the league for 3 years...

Wesley Johnson...

Fariq Aminu

Marco Bellineli...

ANYBODY...

If you are telling me that no veterans players want to go there because of the losing then that is a bigger problem then...because that means you have ran a team so far into the ground that an athlete who wants to get paid millions of dollars to play for you...won't take millions of dollars to play for you...

I just don't see how this team ever starts winning games without veteran players I don't care how man top 5 or top 3 or no 1 overall picks they get...at some point they need someone on the floor who knows how to close out and win games and right now they do not and i have not seen any evidence of the last 3 years that they have made an attempt to get a guy like that...

there are always going to be shytty teams, its just a reality

I seriously dont get why people are so concerned with the Philadelphia 76ers sucking? Like... who gives a fukk?

and dont compare Minnesota, Philly, Utah, etc to fukking Miami :dead:

You won your titles because Shaq gave the green light to go to Miami, and because Bron/Bosh wanted to go to South Beach

Those other teams dont have that luxury

nikkas really in their feelings about this shyt :dead: My question is why do you care? :laff:

And once the Bynum trade became a disaster it made no sense for Philly to keep trying to tread the line of mediocrity so hence why they blew their team up...

It should be obvious who the players are that are apart of their long term future

I'm a Celtic fan. I watched Gerald Wallace the previous two seasons. There is nothing he can contribute. He is not better than any of the wings that Philly has. You're just going off reputation. Like I said, there's a reason why he got 0 interest once he got released.

MCW is fukking garbage, man. Literally the only thing he has going for him is his wingspan. He's practically a liability on offense due to the fact that he can't score and he's erractic with the ball which leads to his countless turnovers. His defense is overrated. Dude got benched for Jerryd Bayless, a journeyman backup PG and y'all criticize Philly for trading him like he was some supreme talent.

You got coaches making the playoffs and getting fired (Monty Williams, Mark Jackson etc..) but somehow the 76ers coach aint even on the hotseat? lol

This team needs to be kept out the top 15 of the draft until further notice by the NBA.

Hes had the worst rosters in the league, different expectations

I give him credit for actually getting these teams playing with effort every night. I actually think hes a decent coach (definitely defensively)

Far to often this is ignored when talking about the moves that Riley has been able to make. Not to shortchange Riley's shrewdness, but most teams don't have the advantage of the backdrop of Miami to go with their sales pitch to free agents and tradeable players that have the luxury of determining where they are willing to be traded to. His prior track record talks, but so does the whisper of South Beach in a players ear.

Cuz deep down they wanna see Philly do well. A good Philly team is good for business. It's why teams like the Lakers and Knicks whenever they suck you got analysts wondering how they can get better and soon.

Pelicans sucked the first 2 weeks of the season and everyone here was like "they need to tank it this year"

I can end that tanking shyt right here. The 14 teams that dont make the playoffs, have them play in a single elimination playoff. The top 2 records of those 14 teams get a 1st rd bye.

The winner of the playoff gets the #1 pick

This playoff can start right after the final day of the regular season. That way, we have some games before the real playoffs start. You want the #1 pick? Win 3 or 4 games in 4 days:yeshrug:
