The players should put hands on him because of a policy that requires them to actually do the job they get paid for?

There's never a good time in a fan's mind for when a player can miss a game, because like Kobe and others have said, that might be the first or only time someone comes to see you play, even if you live there. Missing games for whatever reason is a L no matter what
Could you imagine going to a game, you get there late, whether it be the line, traffic, picking up your kid, whatever, you get to the game it's already started, but before you sit, you're getting your kid food, by the time you're settled, there's 6 minutes left in the first, your player subs out. He comes back for the last 5 minutes of the 2nd quarter and then doesn't play again. Do you feel you got your money's worth? If not, that might be the next step in tryna keep players away from the risk on injury. Basically treating load management games like preseason games.
It really is. I’m watching the last dance again & listening to some old players interviewed by the Knuckleheads pod & they all took pride in playing every game they could because it could be someone in the crowds only chance to see that player.
Players this era don’t give a fukk smh
No u can sit but the team gon get finedSo if Bron or KD say they got a sore ankle what Silver going to say? You not really hurt?![]()
Dudes ain’t about to destroy their averagesInstead of sitting out games, they'll have them suit up, play 5 minutes and then sit the rest of the game. Won't have to pay any fines and the fans still get to see a guy in uniform.
There were also big, prime time matchups that got derailed by players sitting out.Fine compromise imo
Some of these teams were being way too blatant with it. If you want to load manage it makes way more sense for the fans to spread it out than sit your entire starting 5 at once (I.e Golden State)
that's also part of why some players wanna see counting stats are more of the key for individual titles than averages (like instead of ppg, some players want it based off total points)Dudes ain’t about to destroy their averages
And if u don’t play that hurts those stats morethat's also part of why some players wanna see counting stats are more of the key for individual titles than averages (like instead of ppg, some players want it based off total points)
Consequence of having a league marketed and driven through star players instead of marketing the teams themselves. It's not lost on me that the constant bytching and moaning from fans about load management is only a thing with an overwhelmingly black League like the NBA because you don't see the same complaints in Soccer or Baseball Leagues where they do the exact same shyt.

Embiid's second game against Jokic, he sat. Jokic's first game against Giannis, he sat.
You also have teams sitting their stars down the stretch to tank: Dame, Luka, SGA for years.
Tatum was the only guy on the first two All-NBA Teams who played 70 games. Ten years ago, only three guys were under that mark; four guys were 80 or more. 20 years ago, only two guys were under 70; six guys were 80 or more. None of those six had their careers impacted by the number of games played (Kobe, Duncan, KG, Dirk, Iverson and Kidd).
This is an issue and these guys CAN play. NHL guys are playing the same schedule and not resting. I don't want to hear NBA players cannot do the same.
