The nba to change its Load Management rules. NBA teams are no longer allowed to rest two star players at the same time. 1 million dollar plus fines

this is not true

Kawhi would routinely tell the team in toronto when he was sitting and it would sometimes be an hour before tip. some teams probably decide but players are not pushing back but there's a large number of them that decide on their own and teams can't do anything about it
Kawhi physically cant play a whole season. Even in the 2019 playoffs, his knee got worse and he was limping by the end.

"We have so much more data," Kerr said before the game, "so much more awareness of players' vulnerability. It's proven that if guys are banged up, back-to-backs, players are much more likely to get injured and miss more games. So that's why you're seeing it leaguewide. Everybody is being cautious when a guy is banged up. You're just playing the long game."

If people think players are just saying "im out" and teams would put up with that, theyre not being honest. The NBA needs better scheduling. The pace of play is too fast and theres more movement than ever. There should only be 3 games a week max for teams

It’s about what their tv partners want and it’s contract time. If you’re Amazon and NBA wants a billion dollars, you want assurances right?

Ding Ding Ding. This man is correct. If the NBA is seeking a $75 Billion TV deal, those TV partners absolutely have a right to ask for assurances, so that the product that they’re paying for is financially viable going forward. You really think that ESPN, NBC, Amazon Prime and other networks aren’t asking the NBA to look into ways to curb this load management shyt?? That’s the least that these networks could do, to make sure they will get a return on their eventual investment. How pissed is ESPN (Or NBC should they get awarded a package) going to be, if they showcase Saturday and Sunday games, with no stars playing in those games?? That’s just not going to fly under the new eventual TV deal.

zion and ben simmons did it as well. how ben simmons got paid for an entire season in which he refused to play is beyond me.

Alabama
Pelicans, Lakers, and Clippers about to have to pay an nfl salary cap's worth of fines :russ: But for real tho, Kawhi probably legitimately needs rest days. His knees probably look like a spirit halloween display skeleton by now.

Load management seems like something only a casual fan could be concerned with. Why would a Suns fan want KD to play all 82 games? Or Lakers fan want Lebron/AD to play 82 games?

The only team that flagrantly load manages is the Clippers and they got a dude with a chronic injury that can't play a week of games without tearing something.

Even Paul George refuted this nonsense. More guys are getting injured than ever and that's WITH all this baked in rest. Why do you think that is? Players are now UNconditioned for the grind. They barely practice and they play less games. Their bodies aren't used to exerting the effort required to get through a season. They are no longer prepared for it because they're babied throughout the season.

Because they have more wear and tear by the time theyre in the league.

More guys are getting injured because theyre doing more on the court. It's not a coincidence

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
Everybody is missing the point...

The owners are the ones who benefit from their star players resting and they are STILL voting to fine THEMSELVES for this...

So no it's not the fans or the media... It's the money. There's no way they are voting to lose more money and risk their players more out of the goodness of the game.. Nah... Them checks are being hit somewhere. TV channels probably like "why we paying for 82 games and stars ain't in 42 of them."

Owners wouldn't police themselves unless their bottom line was being tapped
