NFL is the 10th most popular sport in the world.

They don’t have that international bag yet

They do.

The issue is the majority of the rosters are made up of easily replaceable players who only have 3-5 years to make money. They won’t agree to miss a season just so someone else can benefit.

You make about 7 million dollars and you can retire if you plan it right. They ain’t risking that.

Exactly why NFL players are in the predicament they are in, and why MLB players are not.

NFL did go on strike and the product stunk during that time, no thank u.

Why yall pocket watch players/leagues is beyond me. If NFL players so concerned, let them worry.

Yall constantly tell players to shut up and play. Yall as fans need to shut up and cheer.

As people have said, the salary cap in the NFL is almost twice as high as the nba. And that’s with like 80% less games.

When you talk salary as seen from the teams view, you need to talk about squad salary, not player salary. Total team salary/revenue or profit etc.

Not related and not presented as a counter to the premise of the thread, but I'd probably guess all the NFL guys probably make more off the field than the NBA guys do.

Think in the NFL there are too many guys willing to take whatever. Then you have NFLPA staff actively colluding with the NFL.

There is no comparison. We gotta stop. We talking 15 vs 53...82 vs 17...soft cap vs hard cap. And as bad as the NBAPA has been over the last 30 years, the NFLPA has been worse.

Would be interesting if cats stayed in college to play til their late 20’s/30’s

And college football ended up being more lucrative than the pros.

Crazy potential times

.

Remember, the NFL fought most of its early years to be taken more seriously than college football.

To see somebody like Quinn Ewers turned down up to 8 million to transfer to sign a multi year NFL contract worth about half that

We are in for interesting times.

TYRONE GA!
Roster size shouldn’t matter for the top guys like Mahomes, Burrow, Barkley etc. the NFL makes way too much money for their top stars to not get NBA bags

NFL players getting pimped

Median NFL salary = 860K
Average NFL salary = 2.8 million (these QB, WR, and Edge Rusher salaries are REALLY skewing what the middle person on a roster makes. It's why the owners opted to increase the NFL minimum in the last CBA knowing vast majority of players would opt to vote and take that increase :francis: . The current CBA saw Rookie minimum salaries saw a $100,000 increase in 2020, another $50,000 increase in 2021, and then a $45,000 increase annually thereafter).

Vast majority of players ain't gonna wanna strike AND THE OWNERS KNOW THIS.

This whole “why are yall pocket watching” trend needs to die a fiery death.

Quit clutching pearls like judging someone else’s spending habits hasn’t been a thing for millennia.

You all are quite happy to make all sorts of judgments about an athletes character depending on whether they make or miss a shot. Whether they win or lose a game.

But if they spend $20,000 on strippers in a weekend, oh dear me. I could never judge or opine or advise.

fukk off.
If anything I’m advocating for these guys to have more money for their reckless bullshyt.
