Where does this general opinion that Tennessee is not a state with a ton of recruiting talent? They have been putting out a ton of elite athletes, LSU got the #1 safety and #1 LB from there last year

I imagine the quality is good but the number isn’t high relative to bigger states.

Because it’s not. UT recruiting points this out for you. There’s a reason they have to go national or raid neighboring states. I can only speak on Memphis but does facilities the kids there have to work with/play in are third world status and the local govts aren’t pumping $$$ into them to build them up when they have some of the worse K-12 nationally
