Who was that AU fan that was posting Etling stats in our scrimmage? Well time for me to return the favor

The Auburn coaches are still trying to decide who will be the team’s starting quarterback against Georgia Southern come Sept. 2nd, but all signs have been pointing to Baylor transfer Jarrett Stidham as the favorite to win the competition. In the famous words of Lee Corso, “not so fast, my friend.”

Stidham reportedly struggled in the Tigers’ first scrimmage of the fall according to Josh Vitale of OANow.com. The former 4-star JUCO prospect took a couple of sacks while also tossing two interceptions — one of which was returned for a touchdown by defensive back Jamel Dean. It’s a small sample size, but Stidham will need to show more if he wants a chance to uproot last year’s starting QB Sean White.

Auburn HC Gus Malzahn had this to say about the team’s quarterbacks during his press conference following the scrimmage:

“All three of them did some good things, but all three of them have numerous things they need to work on.”

Sean White struggled to stay healthy last season, but he was efficient when he was on the field. As a sophomore, he threw for 1,679 yards and 9 touchdowns while completing 63.9 percent of his passes. In addition to his inability to stay healthy, White’s struggles as a downfield passer also contributed to opening the door for Stidham to take the starting job.

The competition is wide open right now, but one of these two players needs to step up and stake a claim to the job if Auburn wants a chance at competing for an SEC West title this season.

Cause for concern? Jarrett Stidham struggles in Auburn’s first fall scrimmage

Dabo Swinney doesn't have Deshaun to lean on this year.

Let's see how he can coach.
I mean he won 11 games in both years before Watson. He's proven he can win. Meanwhile nobody is picking Michigan to win more than 9-10 games in Harbaugh's 3rd season..

Dabo didn't say anything that wasn't already known though why are yall acting surprised? Big 10 is trash

I think they're gonna be just fine. They recruited well and developed players at a high level. Plus the defense is loaded and filthy. And their schedule is VERY favorable. They only play 2 teams with arguably the same level of talent (FSU and Auburn) and both games are at home. Their toughest road game is against Louisville. I think they win that game.

I actually have Clemson going 13-0 this year and heading into the playoffs as the #2 seed.

Here are my early playoff predictions:
1. Ohio State (13-0)
2. Clemson (13-0)
3. Notre Dame (12-0)
4. Tennessee (12-1)

:mjlol: Damn that's foul

Is he lying though?

The SEC had to win 7 straight national titles with 4 different teams to build up the rep the media gave the Big 10 for just winning one title in 2014. That whole conference has been garbage for a long time because there are NO PLAYERS in Big 10 country. Even now the only reason Ohio State and Michigan are able to compete outside the Big 10 is because of how they recruit the South. Michigan State is the typical Big 10 team and we all saw how Alabama rocked them 2 years.

I actually think Ohio State and Michigan are elite programs now that Urban Meyer and Harbaugh are recruiting the South so well. But the rest of that conference is BASURA. They're all Missouri/Kentucky status at best.
