Keeping it trilla, the B10 did land flat on its face after all the hype it got. I guess some of that was to be expected though. Wisconsin's ranking was highly lauded after washing a pre-school level offense in LSU, Penn State to an ACC mid card in Pittsburgh (and got washed by Michigan), who in turn got washed to a squad that lost to North Dakota State (no Carson wentz even), and to make it come full circle, Ohio State lost to a pretty unbeknownst PSU and didn't field a very aesthetically pleasing offense whatsoever.
I'll say the Big 10 was those boys in the regular season even though as the depth was preached, they never had a team that felt like it truly deserved to be elite. It's really hard to judge just how good the conference was by the end of the year because a lot of the top tier teams was around the same level, and all those top tier teams (sans Wisconsin who played nobody) lost to other top tier teams. I'd still give the #2 spot by the end of the year because while the SEC wasnt impressive, the ACC showed off, I don't remember the exact records or anything though.
My top 5 this year:
1. SEC....I got to expect a resurgent year at some point, and this is the first year the conference has had fresh GOOD blood at QB in a good min
2. Big 12...just cause I got Texas coming back ASAP, it'd really be over with if they had gotten Houston, but w/e. Texas, Oklahoma, Ok State, with some good sleepers in WVU, Baylor, and KSU
3. B10...If I had more faith in Michigan not to falter vs a vastly under talented team or for PSU to maintain that level of ability or for Nebraska not get exposed first relevant opponent they played, they might be #1....BUT
4. ACC...Clemson and FSU are both boom or bust potential with their schedules and various offensive holes. Top notch defenses tho. Miami could be the most steady team if this new guy can replace Kaaya
5. Washington is taking a step back, fukk USC, Oregon is gonna need a year, UCLA (lol), Stanford might be back they might not, Wazzu isn't repeating last year
