Knicks were smart to turn down 8&10 for 3

I agree but I think RJ is a star though...i think the hawks should just keep the 2 picks and take whichever wing is there at 8 and a big of some type at 10 or even another wing not sure what they are valuing since it will be bigs at 17.

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
I find it funny how the draft went from a 3 player draft to now the 4th pick being a potential all star and teams salivating at the thought of trading for the pick. I wonder what changed...

:shaq2:

If you guys don't see how pathetic and agenda driven the NBA media is.... it's absolutely pathetic. When LWO had the pick, it was the 4th pick isn't much different than having the 14th pick in this draft.

The entitlement of their fans surely doesn’t help.

The laker hatred is so obvious at this point, woj is basically a hack and anti lakers guy right now i think nba guys should refrain from believing any lakers information he makes unless confirmed by other legitimate sources.

It was a three player draft and was top heavy now all of a sudden the no 4 pick is gold. such bs

And I find it funny that LA even got the 4th pick in the first place. It's absolutely pathetic the amount of cognitive dissonance you have to possess to think the system is actually working against you :francis:

Your post had nothing to do with my post.

I'm talking about the media's agenda and you're talking about the lottery being rigged.

At least cry on topic. :mjlol:

Are you sure cause 99% of the information that has been out has been that the Lakers aren't a destination for a top free agent and shouldn't be
That's their opinion because of the ineptitude in the front office but they're rooting for y'all to pull it off for ratings.

The same reason they want to break our team up and have KD go to NY. They know which cities butter their bread the most.

Listening to Mike Schmitz's podcast with Woj, here's the main points:

  • Schmitz thinks Garland is just as talented as RJ Barrett, even though the sample size to show it is much smaller.
  • A lot of movement is expected because teams like Boston, Cleveland and Atlanta have multiple picks
  • Bol Bol's range is from anywhere from 10-25. Lots of question about his competitiveness, injury history, physical frame and durability
  • Teams are looking for overachievers like FVV, Siakam and Powell after the year the Raps had. Teams are looking for tough, late bloomer types like those three.
  • Pascal Siakam is going to be a near-max player. Schmitz says if Siakam wasn't taken in the late first by Masai, there was no telling where his floor in the draft would be.
  • Schmitz believes in 5-10 years, the future of the league will be in Africa.
  • Basketball Africa League starts up next year (in Spring 2020).
  • Most of the best "European" prospects have African roots.
  • LaMelo Ball is more talented than Lonzo. Has a lot of bad habits, never played with any structure. Will be tested in Australia, much more physical over there. Top 10 pick on talent alone. Teams will hone in on his bad habits when he gets drafted.
  • Schmitz still thinks Lonzo can be an elite point guard. Staying out of LA will be good for him. May not live up to #2 pick status, but will probably figure it out over time.
  • Schmitz still thinks Brandon Ingram can be an all star (depending health). New Orleans will be great fit for him. Will be able to be a primary ball handler at times over there.
  • Note: Woj thinks Zion wasn't impressing anyone until he got to Duke, says he was like any other recruit :dahell:

The last one was in regards to scouts and management
