We don't want Culver that bad bro

I think my Cavs need Culver he seems like a potential great fit in our backcourt.

So I was thinking would this deal make it brehs

Cavs trade JR Smith to Orlando for Mozgov and 16. Granted Mozgov is an expiring after this season but the Magic could clear a bit of space by ridding themselves of Mozgov and at least clear a roster spot...But im thinking mozgov may be a medical retirement soon though...I just want my cavs to move up in the draft.

Maybe JR/26 to the Pistons for 15 and Luer or something but hes another expiring shyt we may end up not getting anything for JR.

We also have the following who are expiring after this season Henson, Knight, Thompson, Delladova we could help a team clear a ton of cap space for next offseason but only JR helps them this season.

You're wrong. He's absolutely a target of Schlenk & Co

NBA Draft: Atlanta Hawks reportedly centering on Jarrett Culver as ‘primary target’ in trade scenario

Hawks are putting a package together to move up to move in front of Phoenix to get Culver. To be safe we need to get to #4 and we've got the pieces needed to trade with NO
Your wrong, Givony already put out into we are targeting Hunter. I got insiders saying we are on to Reddish. You need to get up to speed with this shyt. You like a week behind everytime we speak.

Nah I'm following it every day. What I quoted was one of the first reports about our interest in Culver so you're wrong on what you're hearing. Culver is more of a priority than Reddish and Schlenk has openly expressed interest in packaging picks to move up in this draft.

Reddish could still be drafted at #8 but saying "we don't want Culver that bad" is completely wrong

Trading #4 to the Hawks would be interesting, wonder if they'd come up off of Len + #10 & #17 :patrice:

If you following this shyt everyday then you know we haven't even came out and said we interested in one player over the other, both underground and publicly and that we been linked to Culver, Reddish, Hunter, etc throughout the process.

Breh, you just said one player is a priority, that's fukking wrong information. You just talking, you ain't got no insiders or nothing. You reading a stupid blog site. Not even the Athletic which is solid but you reading the peachteehoops which is low brow af during draft season. Right now, we putting together potential deals and contingency deals which usually falter. To assume we gonna do a trade is foolishness at this time. Too many moving parts.

At this time, you just need to know what our board looks like by tier.

Cam is the same tier as Hunter, Culver, and Little for us. That's all that matters.

At this time, they stiil haven't done their pre draft major meetings internally yet which starts tomorrow. So really, they don't even know yet. Travis might be here, LP might be here, while Dotun and Jim maybe here. Obviously they talk about these guys before, during and after but these meetings is when they start really choosing where they want to go. This is how they came down to Trae and Luka with Luka winning out till the trade to Dallas.

You can't say anything as they didn't know where the Lakers stood with 4 which we now know is NO. Everything else is just speculation at this time. ATL can make an offer based on this and this but those are so damn complex and so much gotta go right. It's not like last year where it was straight forward.

In what universe would Schlenk come out and express specific interest in any player? He's made many public comments about packaging picks because he doesn't want to draft 5 rookies (that comment was made prior to the Taurean Prince trade and acquisition of the #17 pick)

Unless you are Travis Schlenk then you really don't know what's gonna happen. It's all speculation until the moves actually happen and I'm following the same speculation that everyone else, including you, is privy to.

And to assume we wouldn't do a trade is foolish especially when Schlenk himself has said that it's unlikely we draft a rookie with all 6 picks. A trade is going to happen via packaging picks with the intent of moving up

Updating my mock draft from yesterday

4. Pelicans - Darius Garland, G, Vanderbilt
5. Cavs - Jarrett Culver, G, Texas Tech
6. Suns - Coby White, G, North Carolina
7. Bulls - DeAndre Hunter, F, Virginia

Still working on what to do with NO's pick at #39. and for #38 I have Chicago picking Shamorie Ponds

The key now will be Phoenix at #6 if they draft a forward of ANY kind. That's an automatic trade if they select a forward.

im looking at Lonzo, Jrue, Moore, Hart, Jackson you sure that deandre hunter Another 3/4 wouldn't be a better look? or do you see the Pels moving Lonzo again

Can New Orleans not move 4 to Phoenix for 6 and a piece or some future considerations?
the extra piece would be very inconsequential and to do that, Phoenix has to be targeting someone specifically (Culver)

In reality, Phoenix is more likely to move down than up because Culver and Coby White are seemingly the last 2 left for them and one of them will be there at 6. Anyone else would be something they target later in the lotto.

According to SKOR North, Gersson Rosas is dying to move up.

Lonzo and Jrue in effect have 2 years left. Hart is a backup SG as is Moore (which to me eliminates Culver). Jackson I don't care too much for and if he sticks he's strictly a backup who still needs more development time.

From a pure need standpoint, it's a center they can plug in (a Bol Bol, a Goga, whoever you wanna name). Hunter to me is more of an option because it gives NO a cover for Ingram if this injury stuff lingers.

I'm sticking with Garland only because in 2 years Lavar can fukk everything up and at least you have a guy ready to go (and in Garland's case, it's probably for the best if you start him off slow because he's only played 5 games in the last year and with Lonzo's injury history, eventually he'll get time)
