deGrom looked good in his first outing.
Edwin Diaz looked a bit better in his second. Gave up an XBH and he had trouble locating the fastball and slider. Want to see Ks at some point, not just pop outs and fly balls.

When Beltran was getting interviewed after getting the manager job and he was asked about Diaz he said without even hesitating that his struggles were due to him tipping pitches. I wonder if that has been addressed and how?

Am I the only one who thinks Conforto is going to have a All Star, possibly even MVP type year?

I think he is capable of hitting .300 + with 35 + HRs but MVP is a stretch. Will he do it this season, who knows.

We've been waiting for him to hit .300 from the day he debuted, at this point he's looking more like a slugger with OBP than a high average guy.
In fact I've been talking with my friend and I really would like to see Conforto be the full time lead off guy. I know there are a lot of options on the roster for that role, but I think our lineup looks pretty sexy with him leading off. I don't think he should be hitting 3rd, he tends to underwhelm when he's put there.
Man I'm starting to get excited for the season.

I think he stays a Met. He's another homegrown star they can't afford to let walk. They worked it out with deGrom and I see them making Conforto an offer he likes.

Yeah, he doesn't seem to be hitting for avg. now but I think he will wise up and see that's the better way to go.
