they used to do them after the season was over and if you check some of the lineups, USA used to pull up with all-star teams. The last time they did wasn't that long ago and they had a couple of heavy hitters but the pitching wasn't great.
I'm cool with an all star tour after the season. I'm cool with teams traveling to play NPB teams as part of Spring Training. I'm cool with MLB having their teams play each other in marquee Japanese stadiums. I just don't like the season being forced to start for some pointless 2 game series and then real baseball starts like 10 days later.
