I saw rumors that if Tatis is on the market due to Padres financial issues, the Yankees could be a trade partner.

Makes me roll my eyes because the media is always floating superstar trade rumors with the Yankees.

But if they COULD get Tatis, he would have to be THE priority. (Aside from the miracle of acquiring Skenes).

He’d help, but the real issue is the infield. The outfield was excellent last year, but they had a catcher who hit .219 with a .275 OBP, a third baseman who hit .208/.308/.333 after arriving around the deadline, and a shortstop who hit .212 with a .272 OBP & led the majors in baserunners stranded. That’s easily the worst 7-9 in baseball and none of them play the outfield. They have to fix those issues too or it won’t matter.

But you don't play in la or new York, you don't matter. He's (judge) is the best hitter. Not the best slugger, and definitely not the best PLAYER, LET ALONE MOST VALUABLE.
