It should absolutely be Alabama and Miami getting in.

-It would be a horrible precedent and a disgrace if you essentially punish a team for playing in a conference championship game and losing to arguably the best team in the country. That would be another reason to call CFB amateur hour.

-Miami and Notre Dame have very similar metrics, but the head to head has to matter. I understand that their game was at the beginning of the season, but every game should matter. Of course you have to take into account how well teams are playing now, but when you have resumes that are as close at theirs, head to head should absolutely hold weight.

They’ve already done this multiple times and bama lost to fsu which is worse than Florida if 3 loss Texas is out so are they. The conference championship isn’t just some magical exhibition

To your first point then BYU should be in? Only lost to a Top 4 team.

who that didnt play in the SEC Championship can you make a viable case for that Bama is better than?

Oklahoma? No. They beat Bama in Tuscaloosa
Ole Miss? No. They only have one loss in a one possession game @ Georgia
TAMU? No. They only have one loss against a ranked Texas team in Austin and Beat ND by 1 @ ND

There is literally no logical reason why Bama should be in. If any of the above teams lost in the SEC championship then the punishing a championship loser argument makes sense. In this case it doesnt. Alabama was shyt this season and has the worst loss(es) of all the SEC at-large teams. A home loss to Oklahoma and then a two-score loss to (5-7) FSU. They have no business in the CFP.

ND and Miami are the right choices breh. I cant believe anyone is actually arguing for Bama

Zone 6 BIA Silver Bullets BlockO
scUM make a 12 team playoff
Win a title without cheating
Impossible :buckPhil: .

Glad to see you :flabbyscUM: fans posting again

It's good to see them bacc in their natural element of living vicariously through other teams while waiting for their ReliaQuest opponent.

It just feels right...like the natural order of things. They know their place now.

Problem is they kept ND in the playoff rankings all season. Can't push them out now.

ESPNs need for weekly drama is the culprit.

There needs to be ONE official selection show, and that's today.

Let the media and others do their own opinionated rankings each week.

I would say that's the bigger issue. If they didn't have Alabama at #9, then maybe I'd think differently, but punishing a team for losing in the conference championship game against arguably the best team in college football is absurd.

And, I don't think it's comparable to the FUS situation two years ago. They had no QB and the metrics changed this year for voting on teams. It's absolutely not comparable like many seem do be saying. It's disingenuous.

Edit: You can't compared a four team playoff to a twelve team playoff.

Alabama has a stronger SOS than Mia or ND by far.

And nobody beat more ranked teams, outside of Oklahoma, than Bama.

I think Miami and Bama should be in. ND beat a bunch of gimmies other than USC.

That said, I don't want to play Miami as OU. Lol
