Closer to Tennessee than UGA but I agree w/ your point.

PSU is at or near their ceiling they're consistent but not a true title contender. They're not a blue blood, and even in that second tier they're towards the back of that pack, behind the LSU, UGA, types. PSU has higher lows than what a program like Auburn has had but also has lower highs bc Auburn won a title.

PSU is a more consistent A&M with less money and seemingly less urgency to get to a title competing level. Agian, I think PSU's ceiling, even with a different coach, will be a playoff contender, with occasional final 4 or title game appearance.
I think they are well entrenched in this tier, but until Kirby really moved the needle uga had one before nikkas and one after nikkas. Before nick put the apparatus in baton they had one in 58, les fell ass backwards into one, and 19 was a buzzsaw, but they bout the same too, 9-10 win seasons, while Tennessee was a whipping boy post the early 2000’s, they bringing up the rear, and just got back on track finally. I do agree this their ceiling, this is them, people want change, but unless they can find some more money, or a better qb, wrs and kick Franklin in his ass to tell him quit playing scared idk man

Completely agree. LSU wasn't even in tier 2 until Saban. From 1962 til Saban, LSU had two 10 win seasons...

That should be PSU's protected rivalry bc it literally was up until the west coast expansion.

:mjlol: at their schedule next year:

At Mich
Vs USC

Somehow will manage to lose both

Their OOC scheduling has been awful for years now.
BRO. I just looked and outside of Auburn in 2022 (a team that went 6-7 that year BTW), these BANs haven't scheduled a ranked OOC opponent since Bama in 2011.

These MFs haven't scheduled a real OOC opponent since the fukking Paterno years. Im glad the football gods haven't blessed those cowards with a title. That's ridiculous. :hhh:

To keep it real, 9-10 win consistency over the course of years or decades is upper echelon. Especially when you factor different coaches coming and going.

And I dont think most people have a problem with the 10 win seasons, it's the 4-21.

If Franklin was 12-13 or even 10-15 against the Top 10, nobody would be on his case.

My predictions this week:

OSU @ Illinois - OSU clears this easily...probably like 35-13 or some ish

IU @ Oregon - long ass cross country trip won't help IU, Oregon wins 34-27

OU vs Texas - idk what's going on w/ OU's QB situation...Mateer is said to not be back. Can Arch save the season? I'm assuming Arch will not win this game. OU 23 Texas 21

scUM @ USC - Again, the cross-country trips aren't easy... Can michigan score enough points? Or can their defense keep USC to under 28? Generally, this is a game scUM would win, if it was in AA I'd say mich def wins. I think usc wins at home. 28-23 type of game.

Bama @ mizzou - DeBeor still makes me nervous, but maybe the last 2 weeks game them some momentum. Bama wins

Realignment has made college football more interesting :manny:

I honestly don't see a ton of intrigue on paper, outside of y'all vs. SC and OU vs Texas.

IU is NOT going into Eugene and winning
OSU going to dominate most/all of that game vs. Illinois
UGA wins on the road
TTU wins easily at home
Tenn wins easily at home
A&M wins at home
ND wins at home
Colorado going to lose
