We will always own the Ms and T-Mobile Park will always be our second home anyway. Comerica Park is our third home.

It’s on way too late and takes too long for me to watch live in the UK but I am following due to my Mrs being Japanese (Ohtani fan of course) and Japan loving baseball.

Personally got more love for Toronto in the series, so good to see that first result.

As a Brit, Do you see similarities between cricket and baseball ?

Quite so.

I’m guessing baseball took influence from cricket and there are shared commonalities such as the term “innings”, but also quite different as in cricket we have a set amount of players vs outs before an inning is over, or the fact a bowler can bowl a maximum of 6 times (called an over) before having to swap with a teammate /changing bowling end.

But socially cricket is much more upper class in the UK (not in South Asia, though) and you tend to get more posh people playing and watching cricket. From what I can tell in baseball it is a lot more grounded and for the common folk.

I’m yet to fully understand the intricacies (and acronyms lol) of baseball just yet, so I’m sure the similarities run deeper. But I’d say in terms of excitement, baseball seems to compare to our 1 day (50 overs) or 20/20 (20 overs) rather then the longer test series which can last for days.
