Being HOFs doesnt mean much when there will be huge distractions. You mix in the Philly fanbase, I don't blame him at all. Embiids knee issues, and PG's contract with that fanbase at your throat for every loss is not where he should want to go to. It's better to go to a bad team and develop with no distractions. A guy like Edgecomb is a better fit on and off the paper.

I am not denying that, he absolutely does and doing that in Brooklyn or Washington is much easier than Philly with those distractions present. Maxey and McCain weren't top 3 picks, there are expectations here and with a guy like Bailey, he already has so much criticism against him that if he doesn't pan out, he will get much more hate than those two.

Window is limited all over in the NBA but there is no doubt he will have a longer leash and more to show with those teams than he would in Philly. If Philly really wants him, then they can just call his bluff and draft him.
