Missed his prime but he was my favorite "fat" baseball position player.
He's not wrong tho.
An Opening Day game involving the Yankees should not be on Netflix.

I don't have an issue with games being on Netflix. A Yankees Opening Day game should not be one of them.-It's gatekeeping...Do we want the sport to grow or not?
-Netflix is more accessible than the YES Network
-Baseball fans cry about the lack of national and mainstream coverage. Netflix is part of the solution for expanding the game to casuals and non-traditional demographics.
Mad Dogg just yappin'

it's the other way around. We value our local broadcasts more and don't like it when national broadcasts are up there pretending to know the teams they're covering. Tomorrow, it'll be Pirates /Mets on Peacock. Mets fans would rather have had their home opener on SNY with Gary, Ron and Keith doing commentary.-It's gatekeeping...Do we want the sport to grow or not?

I don't even care for Kay (the rest are cool), but the Yankees putting a game a week on Amazon Prime is just irritating. If I’m watching the Mets I definitely want to listen to Ron and Keith.
But I couldn’t give a shyt about the Yankees broadcasters at all.
I still remember the Phil Rizzuto years and frankly Bobby Murcer was way more enjoyable than Michael Kay.
LMAO, why are they doing a special intro for the Yankees at Oracle Park??
