They beat Japan and the US in the same tournament.

I don't even know how to rank this team among the other 5 winners but that's an amazing accomplishment

Japan was the defending WBC champion too (they won it in 2023)

US was maybe the 5th best team in the tournament. Japan beats them and DR would’ve beat them if they didn’t chase bases.

Really exposes baseball as a sport. These guys are good because they see the same pitch 100 times a year and have scouting reports and empty stadiums where nobody but hardcore fans are following their every at bat.

Microscope gets put on them and they can’t hit electricians and call ups.


First major league lineups they face and they get 4 runs on like ten hits and all homers.
