This man i believe is sleeping two hours a day. There's no earthly way to keep that up in your forties. Doctos told him stop sitting so much you'll get this and this and that. Diabetes, blood flow issues. Oda needs to slow down for his own sake..

Hopefully dude stays healthy (and not just until the series finishes). As much as I hate breaks, he should take as many as needed. He's at the age where the lack of sleep and crazy work schedule might be catching up to him. He was in his early 20s at the start of the series but he'll be 50 in a few years.

And here I used to think Nico background was sad.It'll never happen this century cause Japan has arguably the worst/most toxic workplace culture on Earth, but Shuiesha and all these other publications need to permanently axe the "weekly serialization" format. It is quite literal backbreaking, unsustainable work for a single human to undertake week after week, let alone DECADE after decade like some of these famous long running series balloon up to. The series that do manage it without constant pauses/hiatuses/breaks are only remotely possible when there are dozens of dedicated assistants helping the main mangaka pull through, and even then it usually comes at the expense of 100 hour+ work weeks for everyone involved. IDK how many of these celebrated artists have to literally die on the job for the publishing executives to finally realize this shyt shoulda stopped years ago. 
Bi-weekly bare minimum if not monthly for all these series. Stagger the most popular series separate from each other so every week at least one of the "Big 3" (so to speak) always has a new chapter out. It'd give more authors/works a chance to break out too with the amount of slots that'd open for serialization that'd normally get axed in the first month like it is now.
