The scar happened waaaaayyyy after the arm loss. Shanks haki is sick I don’t know if it’s that sick to look years ahead. I don’t think luffy has seen shanks with the scar.

No it didn’t. Shanks had that scar when he met Luffy. Go back and read romance dawn Shanks has the scar already. Plus, Luffy has seen shanks wanted poster since the last time he saw him.
