at this point Rocks either has to be turned by Emu or he tries to kill Dragon & Shanks cause his family got massacred by the marines and celestial dragons. Those are the only reasons I could see Garp and Roger’s needing to team up.

My money is on it being Emu turning him.

My working theory is Rocks will drop BB off with Whitebeard, then go to raise hell so the Rocks pirates can make a getaway. I'm curious how Dragon/Garp/Roger will connect for the Shanks handoff. It'd be really cool if Garp helps Dragon escape by asking Roger to protect him. Then the last two lines of this scene will hit soooo much harder in retrospect,



Roger: Nope, I'm sure you'll do it.
Roger: Look after my child

They don't actually show Roger saying it in either the manga or the anime, so it'd be a God-tier move if "Look after my child" was something Garp said at God Valley. Only Oda could set that up and patiently wait so long to give readers the payoff.

Looks like maybe Captain John had Kidd's fruit...which might explain why his treasure cave is so epic. Dude could steal and stack gold with the magnet powers.

The Straw Hats becoming an international symbol of protest against tyranny never ceases to amaze me.



Peru's Gen Z protests follow youth demonstrations in Indonesia and Nepal. A common feature in the demonstrations has been a skull in a straw hat, a symbol from the Japanese manga "One Piece" about treasure-hunting pirates.
Leonardo Munoz is one of the protesters in Lima embracing the symbol.
"The main character, Luffy, travels from town to town freeing people from tyrannical, corrupt rulers in towns of slaves," Munoz said. "It represents what’s going on in various countries. That’s what is happening now in Peru.”
According to Peru's INE statistics agency, 27% of Peru's population is between the ages 18 and 29.

"We're tired of this being normalized. Since when have we normalized death, since when have we normalized corruption, extortion," said Santiago Zapata, a student protester.
"My generation is coming out to protest now because we're tired of being silenced, made to feel afraid when the government we elected should fear us."
