Harold a giant c00n :mjlol:

I don't comment in this thread much at all, but I've been reading One Piece for a long ass time...

...I can't remember a "good" character in this manga that I like and respect less than Harald. By a LONG shot at that.

Rocks literally told him to his face that the WG wasn't shyt, everything that happened at God Valley proved Rocks right, Harald cries for Rocks...then decides to double down on joining the people that got his "closest friend" killed? The same people that have hated and discriminated against his people for centuries?

Who in their right mind would care to follow such an insane idiot? :mindblown: If this is your king, do you really need enemies?

I honestly think he is going to represent those that capitulate to the system thinking it will bring freedom and abundance and how it brings you nothing in the end. Harald tearing off his horns as the price of entry is the losing of one’s identity to assimilate into the system. He is basically the cost of respectability politics. Him punching the giant saying I won’t forgive a giant that does evil, is no different than a black person talking about black on black crime when black people are arguing about police brutality. Basically we may be witness the ballad of Clarence Thomas: A cautionary tale.

100% Harald had Rocks-power and the strongest single army in the world, saw the WG do everything Rocks said it would, and still lined his people up to be complete pushovers. I didn't like Kozuki Oden dancing around like a fool, while Kaido built up power, but that at least made some sense. Harald is just a straight-up disappointment. I hope he gets at least one chance to show off his power and earn some redemption. At least hit somebody in the throne room before getting bodied.
