Most of the core MCU actors don't have contracts beyond "Infinity War" so that's not going to be a factor for most of The Avengers.

Fred.

They still won't kill off a character that has potential to make them money in the future. Even if it's with a different actor.

Remember it's already been stated the current draft of this movie has over 67 characters in it. There's no way the Netflix characters aren't part of that.
There is a way and its called contracts, can't remember who said it but someone that's one of the higher ups of marvel studios stated just because they are under the marvel umbrella doesn't mean they don't have to go through the same negotiation talks they would have with Sony or universal. Could see them introducing peripheral characters like JLU did with numerous characters ie crimson avenger, Orion, shining knight or vigilante

That's not the same character then.

For example if Captain America dies and Winter Soldier takes over it's gonna be pretty silly if people complain Captain America technically didn't die.

And for the record Chris Evans only has two more movies on his contract. He could re-up but there's a reason most of the contracts don't extend beyond "Infinity War". People are going to die.

No franchise character will stay dead b.

The only reason why people have this silly expectation of Avengers dying is because they're B-C list characters. When does any franchise permanently kill off it's main lead characters :snoop:

On your second point Marvel have already done recasts with the likes of War Machine and Banner/Hulk and a soft reboot with The Incredible Hulk.

War Machine and Hulk had nothing to do with story. It was business decisions.

What franchise has literally 20+ character at it's disposal? What franchise source material has multiple versions of the same character?

You can't compare this to anything else because comics are unique.

Keep in mind they already created a B tier Avengers group at the end of "Age Of Ultron". So the expectation is to shift focus away from the usual suspects and let the next generation take over. They already stopped making Ironman movies because RDJ don't want to. They ain't just gonna recast him like "ok guys, this is still Tony Stark". They're gonna let someone else be Ironman, same as the comics.

For the record, no I don't expect Thanos to kill anybody forever. He didn't even do that in the original arc. But there is several versions of damn near every character in the MCU, that could take over if the original "dies".

It doesn't matter, the point is they still recasted War Machine and Hulk and they're still the same character that the previous actor played. The same will eventually happen with the likes of Iron Man, Captain America and Thor etc.

They've already said it's going to be handled like how the James Bond franchises switches actors. They've even sort of done it twice already with Hulk (2003), The Incredible Hulk and The Avengers.

That handover mantle stuff they do in the comics won't ever work in the movies and you know that :stopitslime:

What?? Normally I'm with you but this is just ass backwards

If cap dies and Bucky take over Cap is still alive and well. "Steve Rogers" died

This happens ALL the time in marvel.

I agree but that's not what he's talking about. He's saying if an actor chooses not to do more movies they'll just recast Tony Stark or Steve Rodgers. I disagree. I'm saying they will just have a different person be the character like in the comics. I'm also saying if people get upset that the character technically didn't die then it's silly.

Breh we're going to have to agree to disagree. If they wanted to replace the core Avengers they would've a long ass time ago, because RDJ has been a pain in Marvel's ass for years now. He flat out told them "no more solo Ironman movies", demanded raises for the entire cast of "The Avengers", etc.

So there's several reasons to replace him in particular, yet they haven't.
