Chad Dawson said he was 9 pounds over weight the day before the weigh in for 168...that's 177 pounds

He's struggling to make 175, and can't survive Cruiserweight and he knows it :wow:

He's in a tough spot, but if nothing else, he has to sit out the rest of this year to reconsider his career and whether or not he wants to continue

I've always been surprised that there isnt a division between 175 and 200lbs. All the divisions below vary in 3-8lbs differences but then you gset the jump from 7lbs to 25lbs :damn:

-50 cent laughing at ringside with Pascal is immature and childish, as if he's had a great track record with his fighters thus far :comeon:

In fact, I'm rooting for Bute

-Yuriokis Gamboa has options, hopefully they seriously pursue a bout with Adrien Broner; but there's also Ricky Burns, Miguel Vazquez, Richar Abril, Raymundo Beltran, Sharif Bogere, Antonio DeMarco, Gavin Rees

-Maidana vs. the winner of Broner/Malignaggi won't happen since Broner moves back down to 135 after this bout. Maidana/Malignaggi for the vacant belt is a possibility I guess :manny:

-Marco Huck wants to settle his score with Firat Arslan, understandable and it's a good fight though I wish he would fight one of the other champs such as Jones, Wlodor or Hernandez. Honestly he still has unfinished business with Lebedev...

It really makes no sense to put fighters in that type of position when you have weight classes down low separated by 2-3 pounds :aicmon:

It's ridiculous

-Juan Carlos Sanchez Jr., now beltless due to weight issues, needs to move up, no question. He'll never get a fight with Omar Navaez anyway

-Adonis Stevenson holds all the cards right now...so many options, though he may HAVE to face Tony Bellew next, the mandatory.

-Erislandy Lara is in a funny spot due to the controversy surrounding Canelo and his decision to keep either the WBA or WBC belt. I guess if Canelo goes with the WBC he'll be elevated to full champ// Who knows, but I do know Cotto needs an opponent for the end of the year, take that fight Lara.

-Alfredo Angulo is a tough guy but just not very skilled. Stopped by Kirkland, outboxed by Kermit Cintron, and now a broken Orbital bone (probably), that's a wrap for his 2013...he's exciting so he'll probably be back on TV but he'll never be worth mentioning outside of having a brawl

-John Molina should just give it up. His power is the only thing going for him, and will never be among the top dogs at 135 again

-Klimov, welcome, good win...not incredibly impressed, but you got the job done

-Marcos Maidana, welcome back buddy :ehh:

-Josesito Lopez...so much heart, will and determination...but he can't take these HEAVY handed punchers back to back like this. I like the kid, maybe a bout with some softer touches will do him good

-Ortiz/Mosley...Ortiz can easily outbox him from the outside, but if Mosley presses the action it could get ugly...still, I see Ortiz winning hands down

200 is the weight limit for Cruiserweight, so there's a major gap between 175 and 200 for 175 fighters who can't compete or ran out of challengers at Light Heavyweight

Sure you can weigh in at 185 if you want I guess and still compete at Crusierweight, but you'd be giving up a LOT of weight and size :manny:

I'm sure these cruiserweights make weight, so we're talking about a substantial difference come fight night for undersized L. Heavy's moving up

he did say that...but if he is struggling to make 175...its because obviously what people say about him is true and he doesnt train as hard as he should. when he wanted to train in the Poconos instead of the Kronk....I kinda gave up hope on him mentally from that point. He has the tools, but he is not a throwback Spartan type competitor like B-Hop, Hagler, or Toney even. Toney may have not been the best at maintaining weight...but that nikka love to spar hundreds of rounds....with ANYBODY.

He needs to be in TMT. Thats easier said than done though. No one can help Chad until he is willing to listen, put in the work, and do what it takes. IMO, he should retire if he is not willing to do so.

Supposedly they want the fight I'm October or Nov N Zab wants to fight before that

It be funny if Zab beat Alvarado gets the belt N goes N fights a GBP 140 pounder

I wonder what they do wit Peterson if he dnt fight Zab:shaq2:

I am a Zab fan, but he lived off of natural talent his whole career...and its a damn shame. Dude keeps getting title shots. When he turned pro, he shouldve had a top-flight trainer and stayed with him. Zab still fights the same way basically, just not as wild.

sn: Dawson got KOed in his last fight then lost his title in the next. does the same fate await Peterson? Peterson vs Zab sounds good to me.
