:mjlol: We are never getting that before he retires. You could forget about that

If he had any interest in taking on tougher opponents he would have done so before age 30. And he would have gotten just as big a payday, in fact numerous of them, if he took on his rivals that he's successfully avoided all these years.

This idea that a certified boxing cashcow somehow won the lottery by electing to fight a content creator, is a joke. Hed have made that regardless if he fought a real opponent.
I understand where you coming from and maybe you're right.

I remember it like it was yesterday

Before the fight:
- Oh Terence Crawford should have never taken the fight
- Shawn Porter is gonna bully him. He had a tough fight with Spence, Porter is going to do the same thing
- Crawford gets hit, Porter gonna knock Crawford down
- Crawford better not do that switching sh*t with Porter

After the fight:
- Oh man, his daddy stopped the fight
- Shawn Porter was a podcaster when he faced Crawford
- He was one foot out of retirement

Even PBC and the Spence brigade thought that Porter will win the fight. Spence showed up to the fight and was thinking of entering the ring so him and Shawn can do a face off, and do a rematch. But when Crawford ended up winning....

all i know is that he's chillin/taking a break..he has an IG...but he looks reasonably in shape..maybe 10-15 lbs from his fighting weight..he might come back sooner than later
Crazy he hadn't made a return yet. Just my opinion but I definitely thought he couldve beat anyone at 154

Hmmm very interesting and surprising would be a huge fight but I would want to see Spence vs anyone first at 154 to build more anticipation. Sad to say more of a question mark on Spence vs Charlo and Spence is my guy.

im not sold on spence vs charlo being a big fight outside of name value and the fact its not going to saudi arabia lol

these guys are not prime physically anymore (more spence than charlo) and coming off 2+ year layoffs...its almost a step above a cash grab

bro really should have been undisputed 154 champ in that first fight...he won that shyt

he's also the last person to give lara a tough fight in the ring that he prolly should have won too...and lara is a whole world champion today

honestly he'd be serviceable at either 154 or 160 whenever he decides to come back

You're right, we're never getting the fights we truly want from Tank. However, there is absolutely no way Tank would get the same bag for fighting Shakur Stevenson, Devin Haney or Teofimo Lopez that he would fighting Jake Paul.

It's perfectly reasonable to be disappointed at Tank for not fighting top tier competition but none of those guys are house hold names or stars inside or outside of the ring. Jake Paul is a LEGIT Star and house hold name in the REAL WORLD not just among hardcore boxing fans.

Shakur and Devin both being black also hurts the marketing of those fights because there's no tribalism aspect to sell. It's why Floyd has consistently tied to fight Mexicans or other ethnicities during the second half of his career when he was in the Money Mayweather era.

There's a reason why Tank and PBC wanted him to fight Lomachenko last year. That was a bigger fight than Shakur, Devin or Teofimo.....the tribalism aspect along with Loma having a title would have made it the biggest fight in the sport. Loma didn't want the fight though. He chose to fight Kambosos and then retire.

Ultimately the risk/reward factor for fighting a Haney or Shakur never added up for PBC for Shakur and a lot of these guys.

I attend a lot of fights and sit on press row. I get official attendance numbers sent to me directly from promoters

Davis-Martin did 13,249 fans.

Official attendance at Michelob ULTRA Arena for Lopez vs. Ortiz: 6,206.

That Shakur-De Los Santos fight did like 5000 fans. No joke

I do think Haney had a chance to get the Tank fight before Shakur.

The Pacquiao Barrios fight did 13,107.

Honestly, don't be surprised if Tank fights Pacquaio and I told everyone at PBC that's the fight that needs to happen......because it's a big money fight for both.

Obviously I'd like to see Tank fight Shakur, Haney, Teo.......but this is a business and ultimately in the eyes of PBC, those guys are going to have to bring something to the table if they're not willing to sign with Uncle Al.

Schofield Jr is still a question mark. Don't know if that Tevin Farmer win was more due to the wear and tear from fighting Zepeda and age

The thing with Muratalla is that he is kind of dull as a fighter, but the way Schofield likes to bum rush his opponents, Muratalla got power in both hands and can easily get a knockout

I really hate when people say it, but imma say it

It needs to be marinated more for about 2-3 years. They are probably the two leaders of the next generation of Heavyweights. Could make big money when both of their names are more popular and when they face tougher competition
i agree that fight is too early...needs at least a couple more years just to see what these guys will develop into
