Schofield Jr is still a question mark. Don't know if that Tevin Farmer win was more due to the wear and tear from fighting Zepeda and age

The thing with Muratalla is that he is kind of dull as a fighter, but the way Schofield likes to bum rush his opponents, Muratalla got power in both hands and can easily get a knockout

i dont know when muratalla turned so dull lately...he fights too hesitant...i mean farmer was making shyt hot for him in their fight...schofield is now or never for me...bro lost me with the shyt he pulled with shakur along with his punk ass daddy...its time to be thrown in the fire

And he would have gotten just as big a payday, in fact numerous of them, if he took on his rivals that he's successfully avoided all these years.

This idea that a certified boxing cashcow somehow won the lottery by electing to fight a content creator, is a joke. Hed have made that regardless if he fought a real opponent.
this gets ignored in the talk about Tank for some reason
people almost framed it as if Tank is some unknown boxer who got the chance of a lifetime to finally make money
didn't Tank supposedly sign a $200M contract with PBC? Wasn't Tank allegedly getting $20m+ to fight cherries? Didn't Tank get invited by Turki to make big money? Bro had options to make a lot of money while still being legitimate
To your point if he had fought the best available options he would have made more money than he has and he would be in a position like Canelo or Joshua to not have to even consider a JP fight at this stage in their careers.
And I'm not buying the $100M payday rumor, seems like something Tank stans pulled out they ass to justify the move. If Bud is getting $50m to fight Canelo I'm not seeing how Tank is getting double that to fight JP. Especially since Tank wasn't even the first choice. If they giving Tank $100M what the hell were they offering Joshua

This a shot in the dark, but I always wanted to know what ya'll thought

Did Roy Jones go up to Heavyweight to duck Antonio Tarver?

I remember the talk was Tarver gave Roy a real tough fight in the amateurs and that Roy when he went up to 175 was never that gung ho on fighting Tarver
On top of Tarver at the time had an amazing 3 fight run of Reggie Johnson, Griffin, and Eric Harding (a rematch he didn't even have to take). Beat them all in impressive fashion

Maybe the block was getting hot for Roy and decided to move up to Heavyweight?
Or am I blowing smoke lol, and it's more of something in hindsight?

Nah, Roy didn't run from him lol. It was the tail end of his career (so we thought) it wasn't a big money fight & Roy was looking to fight Tyson at around that time. He was looking at making history & getting a big payday when he was talking about moving up; even Lennox Lewis name came up for a possible fight

Reggie Johnson gave Tarver a damn tough fight if I'm not mistaken & this was well after Roy battered him. Tarver rematched Harding because he beat his ass the first time around & gave him an L

Yeah and and I remember Tarver saying that he was put in the fight with Harding (the 1st time) because the Roy Jones team didn't want to face Tarver at that time even though he was the #1 contender for Roy's belt. A way to sidetrack Tarver and put him in a tough fight... At least that's Tarver's side of the story lol

How do you think a fight would go if Roy never went to Heavyweight, stayed at 175 and faced Tarver in 2002/2003?

Roy beats him easier than the 1st fight but the KO would still be a possibility, Roy "looked" sharper in the 2nd fight but Tarver timed him perfectly. Even in the 1st fight Tarver had a few near opportunities where he could have seriously clocked Roy if the punch landed right, seems like he followed the same game plan and happened to catch him slippin' in the 2nd fight.

Could be some smoke with the duck accusations. Roy did try to sign Tarver before he got cooking but Tarver declined due to him and Roy then being in the same division at the time. Than the Harding stuff happened and etc.

He would've beat Tarver by UD 116-112'ish to me. I think even if he would've gotten caught by a counter left, he wouldn't been been KO'ed because up to that point, he had never been chinny

Handsome Boyz Ent
And how is Schofield getting the IBF Title shot before Andy Cruz? At best I can see Schofield getting a vacant WBA title shot and then Tank becomes Champ in Recess until he figures his life out
