shyt is :mindblown: Cotto beats at 154lb jobber and dudes are like ":obama: He'll be fine at 160lbs"

Sergio didn't look great against Murray but he got the job done, hell some would say Murray would probably give Cotto the beats at this point. :sas1:

Cotto has issues with dudes bigger than he is and with dudes who are faster, Martinez is both and stronger. :sas2:

Lol at cotton being on ppv. That fakkit shoulda been in the same dumpster Joshua was in.

I really don't know about this Cotto/Martinez fight. There are a lot of questions going into this fight. Cotto looked great against Rodriguez but I think Delvin wasn't prepared AT ALL for that fight. Could be a case of him just looking good against a tomato can. I dunno though, Cotto looked great, regardless of who he fought.

Martinez did not look like himself in his last performance, but he did enough to win a very close decision against a young, hungry contender who had just gave another champion, Felix Sturm, everything he could handle in a draw.

However, as long as Martinez can roll back in time to the Chavez Jr. fight, I think he'll be more than fine.

Cotto on the other hand is still vulnerable to taller, athletic fighters with long jabs and activity. Beyond that, he hasn't really shown me that he's sturdy enough to take a powerful middleweight's punch nor outbox someone such as Sergio. IMHO he should've retired after the Mayweather loss. He did his thing against the post-Mosley/Pac-man Margarito and could bow out after fighting the best fighter in the world.

i agree with all if this but i dont think cotto is not going to bow out any time soon..dude is in the best position out of any fighter today to make the fights he wants and that makes sense financially..he prolly wont leave until that money potential is tapped out (barring a really bad beating)

It does matter who he fought though. Cotto is 4-3 in his last 7 fights losing to Pacquiao, Mayweather, and Trout while obtaining victories over Yuri Foreman, Ricardo Mayorga, EARLY ref/doc stoppage over Margarito (in a round that Margs was stalking him down and Cotto was on his bike like last time), and Delvin Rodriguez:usure:

With that being said, why would anyone think Cotto has a chance over a Middleweight who has beaten Barker, Macklin, JCC Jr, and Murray in his last 4 fights is beyond me. If Cotto wins, it's an upset. He hasnt beaten a fighter the calibur of Sergio Martinez since he beat Shane Mosley 7 years ago.

this fight is about money. cliche...I know but Cotto is still good enough to compete at a high level so no way he's gonna retire with the money he earns per fight...until he really declines. no shame in losing to Sergio...but that's whats in store for him. Everyone talks about how bad he looked in his last fight...but I think the guy is disinterested. He is a star in his country. He is rich...and he has other interests in and outside of the ring. There is only one B-Hop. Its hard for a guy like Sergio to stay on top at his age after being eluded so long for big fights and money. I think he has one foot out the door and it wouldnt surprise me if this were his last fight. Whether it is or not....Cotto has to be ready for the very best Sergio that we have seen.
