Thurman's strap isn't make believe either.. when you win one of these titles it puts you directly into contention for whoever the champion is.. interim straps are the best way to determine #1 contenders..you should know this.. If Floyd wins, the strap wont go into the garbage dummy.. They will get two more top contenders to fight for it and the winner will be #1 contender

This is actually interesting. I looked it up on BoxRec, lost a split decision to Dejan Zlaticanin from Montenegro.
Burns down in the 1st round.

You're comparing Floyd, a WW unified title champion, selecting his next opponent to Pac who has no title at 140 selecting his next opponent at 140.. Now if a deal cant be worked out for Pac to fight Danny Garcia, Peteroson, or LM, then his next best option is Algieri I dont really care if nikkas are interested in the fight or not, boxing should about the best fighting the best.. if you cant fight the best, you fight the next best.. not which Mexican can I fight and make the most money off of...
You're a fool if you think interim straps are a joke. As long as you have to fight another nikka to get it, it means something.. and they're the best way of determiningthe #1 contender for the real strap..

Mora would have lost to Taylor. Spinks is 2x the fighter Mora is. After watching the Spinks fight Sergio prolly felt he would have won or made Taylor look bad, but the thing is he would go on an get a gift against a older naturally smaller Forrest and then get his ass kicked in the rematch. Around the time Forrest was the closest thing to Taylor's style. Forrest has better skills, but he didn't bring the quickness, youth, and power a middleweight Taylor had.

Yeah Mora should have taken the fight if he thought he was as good as he wants us to believe, but he knew he would have gotten wrecked. At least he would have made some bread for it. This the same Mora that would eventually go life and death with Vera.
