If you look hard enough, that same place has produced myths such as

Yeah Rees put some hands on Broner, but dude was playing with him and was super offensive since he knew dude couldn't hurt him.

Taylor and Soliman put hands on Winky. I guess he had garbage defense too. Augustus put hands on Floyd. I guess Floyd defense is overrated.

Nobody's defense is going to be perfect every single fight since every opponent is different with a different situation.

Paulie's defense was fire for the Espn and ShoBox nikkas that he only looked good against. Whenever he fought someone as good as himself he struggled heavily and you already know what happens when he stepped up and fought actual elite boxers

Paulie had real good reflexes and good footwork. He'd move himself outta harms way and circle with his jab. Dude hardly ever slipped a punched or put his hands up to block or cover up and when he did it was with his back against the ropes and dudes would kill his body. Once Paulie's reflexes slipped and/or he fought dudes that could cut the ring off better, his defense would get exposed.

Spinks couldn't punch for shyt, but his defense was actually fire so guys that were just as good as him or better weren't kicking his ass all over the place until he got completely past it.

nikkas always giving Paulie's bad defense a pass and just blame everything on his weak hands. Plenty of nikkas got weak hands or couldn't punch for shyt and they still achieved more than Paulie with his bitter sounding ass.

I wouldn't say broner's defense is complete trash. He blocks and rolls with a good amount of punches. I'd rate it in the c+/b- range. He really needs head movement and footwork if he's gonna fight lucas.
