nah breh, when Loma complained about 130 champions running scared from him Berchelt and Gervonta Davis were champions already and both became champions in the last month or so. Both have mandatories coming up too. Like how is it physically possible to them to run scared from someone when they have a mandatory and they didn't even had time to take a shyt since they are champions.
He called out the Champions before Vargas faced Berchelt (He called out Francisco Vargas in November after beating Nicholas Walters...Vargas had no fight set up yet: "I had my plan. I knew it would take four rounds and then I went to work on him," said Lomachenko. "Walters said he would do this and that he would do that throughout training camp, and in the end, he just quit.
I would like to fight [WBC super featherweight champion] Francisco Vargas next. My goal is to be the No. 1 pound for pound fighter."
Vasyl Lomachenko targets Francisco Vargas for unification .He then went on to not face Loma, instead faced Berchelt and lost).
Then Pedraza had all intentions of facing Loma before he lost to Tank ( Pedraza wants to secure a unification fight before he moves up in weight to 135-pounds. "The purpose of going to New York is to support both Rocky and Felix Verdejo.
In the event that something happens with Rocky, we will make an approach to Lomachenko to unify the titles, "said Luis Espada, coach Pedraza, to Carlos Gonzalez. - See more at:
Jose Pedraza Plans To Target Vasyl Lomachenko if He Wins - Boxing News . He lost and Tank is already on record with saying he knows that Loma is the toughest fight at 135....and we know Floyd aint gonna feed him to Loma).
As for Jezreel Corrales... The guy went to Japan. Twice. He beat Uchiyama both times, first blitzed him and KO him then UD him. That's basically better than any Loma win in 130.
You gotta stop with these "best wins" thing:forreal: There's no proof that Corrales is even on Nicholas Walters level and, imo, KOing Roman Martinez in less than 5 full rounds and making Walters quit within 8 rounds is > Corrales getting a KO win and a SD win over Uchiyama.
Secondly, and more importantly.....who cares? Bringing up who he beat has nothing to do with the point he blatantly avoided a Lomachenko unification fight. The facts are Corrales turned down an offer to face Lomachenko, which means he didn't want the fight. That's just facts. He wanted more money, which is why Jason Sosa took his spot.
"We want to do one or two defenses this year, we'll have no trouble doing that," said Lesbia de Moss, attorney for Corrales.
"If there is a possibility of a unification with Lomachenco we would do it, but as long as there is an interesting offer."

Jezreel Corrales is Open To a Vasyl Lomachenko Unification - Boxing News
^^^ Then they turned down the offer which is why Loma eventually lashed out. He thought he was facing Corrales next, and Corrales backed down.
Top Rank hoped to line up former two-division titleholder Orlando Salido, who handed Lomachenko a close decision loss in his second fight, for a rematch in Lomachenko's HBO main event on April 8 (10 p.m. ET/PT) at the new MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Maryland.
But Salido turned down the fight. Next on the list was world titleholder Jezreel Corrales for a unification fight, but Corrales also rejected an offer.
That left Top Rank to offer the fight to its third choice, Jason Sosa, whom it co-promotes with Russell Peltz. Sosa, a significant underdog, immediately accepted the fight, even though it was for less money than offered to both Salido and Corrales.
Lomachenko to face Sosa after 'cowards' balk
The fact he backed down is what caused Loma to say:
"Of course, I would like to unify, but at this point I am still happy to fight one of the best guys in the division and he's the one who took this opportunity because other champions were running like rat from a sinking boat and not getting in the ring. The others are businessmen, not boxers. They are only looking for the money, not the glory."
Lomachenko to face Sosa after 'cowards' balk
After that... yeah I'm skeptical about Arum saying that the guy is afraid of Loma or anybody. Fighters who are afraid don't go to Japan and beat arguably the top 130 fighter twice back to back.
Arum has a tendency to throw shyt on fighters if he doesn't get his way. I guess they couldn't make a deal with each other and then Arum and Loma got in their feels over it and we hear their opinion but not really Corrales' cause while barely anyone beside Panamanians and boxing heads know who the fukk is him while Loma and Arum can reach a much wider circle of people.
Arum didn't say it......Russell Peltz did. That's why I said, Sosa's promoter.
"Jason Sosa is a real fighter and real fighters fight. One of the problems in boxing today is that most of the fighters are not real fighters; they are businessmen. That's why guys ask for outrageous money to fight Lomachenko. Jason is cut from a different breed. He wants to find out how great he really is. What kind of fighter wouldn't want this kind of a challenge?"
^^^ That's Sosa's promoter talking about Jezreel Corrales turning down the Vasyl Lomachenko fight.
You talking about Corrales beating Uchiyama.....as if Uchi was was on Loma's level
Mikey's win over Salido might be not the most beautiful but he was winning easily before it got stopped and a win is better than a loss on every way.
Nobody argued this.
Do you think Loma improved that much since Salido?
Yes, it's obvious if you watch him. There's a reason why Salido is refusing to run back the fight against him, when it's the biggest payday available for Salido right now.
I think he maybe improved in terms of conditioning for pro boxing and he got used to it overall but I hardly believe he improved anything skill wise, the guy was a 390 something-1 as an amateur nd he started his pro career at 26, I don't think he got anymore skilled.
He's stronger, more aggressive, throws more power punches, and fights more in a pro style than the amateur, "lets just land to score points", style he started with. It's obvious in his fighting style when watching him breh. He's throwing with meaner intentions on the inside.
The guy who fought Orlando Salido in only his 2nd professional fight wasn't the guy who showed up to face GRJ in his 3rd professional fight. The guy who faced Salido isn't the guy that Nicholas Walters or Roman Martinez faced.
He's obviously improved.
