Thurman is a test at 147 if Broner feels he good enough to waltz somewhere, why not fight the up and coming contender, but him picking on Paulie the weakest paper champ I could think of in the last 20 years is all for smoke mirrors and for hype, positioning to place Broner on a pedestal without doing shyt. Andre Berto has made millions on HBO for fighting lesser names than Paulie. Hell, he got paid almost $1 million for fighting Freddy Hernandez! When HBO wants to build a star, they will pay for it. No sense in why Broner shouldnt get his. You want to see Broner get knocked out for $200k on a fight that will have to be shown on ESPN2.

the biggest fight between two of the best fighters this year was Ward vs Dawson. thats the best fighting the best. Berto vs Guererro was a good fight but neither of them are the best welterweight in the world.
what you seem to have deaf ears for is, HBO wont pay Broner to fight Thurman. now if Broner wants to go off and do that on his own thats his business. Showtime wouldnt do it either because even though they dont normally sign fighters, that makes it even more imperative that they put on fights that EVERYONE wants to see.
Showtime makes better fights than HBO as far as competitiveness. If Showtime were to pay for a Broner fight, I guarantee you they would want JMM, but no less than Khan. If not, it wont benefit Showtime, seeing that Broner isnt under contract with them.
