I am a Floyd Mayweather fan....but that dont mean I am blind or will religiously jockride. There are quite a few fighters that Floyd did not face due to either them being too much risk vs little reward, being managed by Haymon, or both. Paul Williams falls into the category of both, although it is important to mention that Haymon being the manager trumps everything.

Robert Guerrero is a 4 divsion champ looking to make that number 5, and Ortiz obliterated the Berto who ran Cotto out of WW, who Manny couldn't mention while he beat on bums like Clottley and shot Mosley and who nobody was rushing to fight, dominated him and took his belt making him champ
Remember when Arum offered Floyd $8 mil to fight Margarito and Floyd said he would get more for fighting Baldomir? Arum laughed it off. Mayweather signed to face Baldomir and was paid $8,000,001? So May got the last laugh. He managed to avoid the dangerous Margarito, make the same amount for fighting Baldomir (who wasnt better than Margarito) and gain the linear welterweight title! It was ingenious! IF Floyd and his team find ANY reason to justify not fighting someone, they will.
Danny is definitely Floyd next opponent, team Mayweather was negotiating with them after signing the Guerrero fight according to rumors

Haymon would never make that fight. Give me one good reason why he would? In order for Haymon to make a fight like that involving two of his clients (with one being the top client overall) then there can be NO option that is less dangerous or less profitable available...and that has never been the case. Hence the reason why the Hatton and JMM fights took place. All Haymon has to do is get out his Rolodex and call a fighter to come up from 135 or 140 or sweat down from 154.
So he ducked Margarito to face the Undisputed Champion and thats a duck
And why are you talking out your ass Arum offered him 7 million for the Margarito match, a match in which Floyd was pushing for, just wanted to be compensated correctly
Mayweather didn’t duck Margarito or Cotto
And by signing the Margarito match he would had to sign an extension top TR who owed him money and was clearly low balling, and blocking his big money match with ODH, read facts and stop with the lies

130 - Prime Freitas and Prime Casamayor
135 - Near prime Stevie Johnston and prime Spadafora
140 - Prime Vivian Harris, near prime Tszyu, prime Cotto, prime Hatton
147 - prime Margarito, prime Berto
now...everyone of those fighters were holding major titles at the time Mayweather passed them up. I didnt name fighters like Gainer, Lazcano, Robert Garcia, etc...he couldve fought them too. To his credit, he did fight the best guys at the top though, like Corrales and Castillo. He ducked the shyt outta 140 though, only fighting Corley who rocked him severely and a huge money easy fight against Gatti who at the time had appeared on HBO more than ANY other fighter in history.
I know what you are thinking. Floyd wouldve beat all those guys. I agree. That still doesnt mean he didnt avoid the challenges. Its easy to talk shyt about Vivian Harris once he loses, but Harris posed a threat stylistically to Floyd as did Paul Williams.
The most dangerous fight that Floyd fought IMO that he knew BEFORE HAND would be dangerous was Zab. He probably didnt think Castillo would be as tough and Corrales had horrible defense and head movement.
I think he wouldve beaten Casamayor too, but the risk was greater than the reward.
