I'm a fan of boxer-punchers with big heart, or tremendous amounts of skill. Thus; BATB, Lubin, Beterbiev, Mikey G, Oscar Valdez all fit into my parameters. Also I think all give crowd pleasing fights, which is something else that is important to me.
Who knows what happened, but I bet he tells that story like Al Bundy's 4 touchdowns in 1 game lol

I see where you're coming from. I actually like GGG's style and he's a humble guy. I actually study his style and imo he has underrated skills that get overlooked because of his power and his tendency to get hit at times. A good pressure fighter with a great jab and decent counter skill at midrange stylistically he gives anyone issues. My point is when I talk GGG it is for my interest in him as a fighter, not for the agenda. I do feel too many brehs here are offended by the GGG agenda, which I understand, but need to separate my stanning vs. HBO /media stanning.
As I mentioned, they deserve to be called out. The writers can't wait to tear down Wilder instead of marketing him vs. Joshua, etc. Even HBO is p*ssy footing around putting pressure on Pacquiao to fight Crawford and I have always stated that HBO's handling of Kovalev-Ward was terrible. Garcia-Thurman will be interesting. It will be the best fight since Ward-Kovalev (which was always shyt promotion) and likely the biggest fight of 2017, unless Canelo-GGG happens. If you are a media member and can't help promote that fight, you don't even care about the sport.
My problem ain't with him is the ducktales surrounding him, his coach abel and his promo team. The Ward debacle, the froch drama, Mayweather, the Brook fight etc the attempts to smear his opposition like ward and froch, Brook being touted as big(he was big on the night) by GGG fans despite him having never fought at Jr Middleweight let alone Middleweight. The last one seemed to be a way to pussfoot around the fact that this was as much a mismatch as the Khan/ Canelo fight but he never got as much shyt for it(I blame Eubanks but still)
Then you get the gym ducktales. I don't doubt his ability everyone who has mixed it up with him says he is dangerous but some of the things that get bought up by the most zealous GGG fanboys is :dahell. -Darnell Boone saying he hits harder than with 16 oz gloves than kovalev hit him with 12 oz gloves :ducktales. In the Ring magazine article by doug fischer, which is now deleted funny enough, Imoesiri allegedly said that GGG hit harder than Povetkin...... Povetkin a heavyweight Olympic gold medalist :comeon. And that shyt was circulating around boxing circles
I ain't trying to take anything away from triple G. He is legit and anyone would be lying if they didn't believe he is the middleweight kingpin. But you dispute some of these fishy claims you are put into a category like the demographic or some other clique. That will rub people the wrong way

I get it. Glad you can separate the two. I like GGG the fighter and he himself seems like a humble, cool dude. The Jacob's insider on n the other board echoed those statements.
His team does him no fabors. Abel is a chatty patty and puts his foot in his mouth every other comment. #GGGoodBoys have long ago disowned anything Abel says. I hadn't heard all those stories you had told, the recent one that gets me is that abel says GGG has never hit anyone in a fight as hard as he can. Lol. Just hilarious. Like I said, I can separate the two, but I can understand those who get tired of that foolishness.
If we go by that Jacobs insider, it sounds like GGG may even be tired of that. He just wants to fight and quit having people say things that aren't true.
Just happy that GGG got an excellent opponent in Jacobs. He is the second best MW to me and I have always rooted for Danny. @patscorpio, I know you root for GGG to, will you be laying down any money? I thought I heard someone say 8-1 odds. GGG deserves to be the fav, but those odds are a bit high to me.

I don't know if he was a fake though. He verified who he was currently and in the past. But dude certainly lied about negotiations and took negotiations too personal.
Maybe I missed something, haven't been paying a lot of attention lately, but hadn't seen anyone here prove he wasn't legit.
Either way, no sweat off my back. I always try to reference what I am using as a source, so if someone has a problem then we can keep it moving. Per our conversation above, hard to trust the media about anything, and I generally am skeptical about most things, since I find most people deal in ducktales only.
Like I said just passing along what he said for good measure. If it is wrong, it is wrong, let's keep it moving. I certainly don't take it as gospel...I actually don't believe that. Just going off my own intuition I think GGG likes Loeffler and Sanchez.

See? Stuff like that. Not hitting as hard as he can? :ducktales. GGG does vary his shots and how hard he hits. He is economic with both his punches and movement which will stun people when he does hit hard. Like in the stevens fight where he was opening Stevens' defense up against the ropes. Or in the Monroe fight where he baited him and then caught him when for the first knockdown. If abel said that I would understand but he bugging about not hitting as hard as he can. And the sparring rumors like him damaging Groves' ribs and downing kovalev are like frat boy stories. Everyone gets put down even GGG by Tyrell hendricks allegedly. I heard Oliver McCall went many rounds with Mike Tyson but Tyson was the only one dropped of the two (although Mccall has a diamond chin to be fair).
About Jacobs yeah odds are high for #1 and #2 in the division. Although I just don't see a way for jacobs to win. He seems like the type who when he gets hurt he goes for broke. imo GGG wears him down and catches that questionable chin.

I think GGG deserves to be the favorite, but Jacobs will surely be the best fighter GGG has faced. Should tell us a lot about GGG fighting a guy who has more overall talent than his past opponents. Jacobs can crack too. Always dangerous to fight a good opponent who has the threat of real power.
I certainly expect GGG to go into Lemieux mode and fight more conservative...again Abel with the lies saying it will be a brawl from the beginning, the key will be in adjustments. Jacobs is more dynamic than Lemieux and won't let just a jab beat him and GGG will be forced to diversify.
I don't like Jacobs thinking he can follow the Brook blueprint. Jacobs is more athletic than past GGG opponents, but Kell was still a 147 lb fighter, hard to duplicate that natural speed and exploit the same weaknesses. Jacobs success will come from his own strengths. He can move around, has decent speed, and solid power. I also don't think Jacobs chin will look as bad as a lot of GGG fanboys think it will be. Pirog was a fight Jacobs wasn't right for and vs. Mora he was being a bit reckless. Jacobs will keep himself more disciplined vs. GGG.
