he didn't even look 100% for that demarco fight..and that gash he got from the elbow ..how that fight wasn't stopped because of that is amazing...shyt had a life of its own..and he beat the absolute shyt out of demarco..like i said..the man was demon filled
I peeped that too. As the fight went on it became more and more clear just how one sided the fight became. And idk but that gash must've had some psychological effect on demarco. Imagine staring down a relentless guy with a crimson mask looking like one of those zombies from 28 days later.
In his sparring he KO'ed urbano utillon with 14 oz gloves I think there is a vid of it..... don't like sparring stories but that power was real

Rigondeaux To Flores: Stand Up - Say Hello To Your Daddy!

By Elisinio Castillo

Guillermo Rigondeaux (17-0, 11 KO's) will start the new year in a very different way from the year that is ending in a few days. The two-time Olympic gold medal winner will fight against a top level opponent.

The 122-pound Cuban champion will defend his WBA super bantamweight belt on Feb. 25 against Mexico's Moises Flores (26-0, 17 KO's), who holds the IBO/WBA interim titles.

While it has not been officially confirmed, the fight will be part of the HBO Pay-Per-View which features the return of Miguel Cotto in the main event against James Kirkland.

Although he remains in a magnificent form, Rigondeaux was only able to fight once in 2016, when he easily dispatched of James dikkens in England. There was talk of him returning to the UK for another contest, but it never came off.

"There is still nothing official, but I hope we can see each other face-to-face on February 25th as part of that Miguel Cotto card. I am preparing for the moment as if it's something that is going to happen and I am preparing to win," Rigondeaux told George Ebro.

"He's a good boxer, who comes forward on the front-foot and he's tall. As a good Mexican [fighter] he'll stand up and try to dominate me with his volume of punches, but this type of boxer is the kind that makes me perform at my best.''

Flores has promised to do just that, stand in front of Rigondeaux and blast away with punches to the head and body. He doesn't want Rigondeaux to think and wants to wear him down in a very tough fight.

Rigondeaux embraces Flores' mentality and wants to overwhelm him with skill.

"I will just tell him to stand up, raise his head and say hello to his daddy, the Jackal. Flores is just an interim champion, a title that means nothing," Rigondeaux said.

Oscar Valdez vs. Nonito Donaire Could Be Next, Says Arum

By Steve Kim

The last time we saw Nonito Donaire, he lost his WBO super bantamweight title to Jessie Magdaleno on the night of November 5th on the Manny Pacquiao-Jessie Vargas pay-per-view undercard at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas.

'The Filipino Flash' has spoken openly about wanting a rematch, but his promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank has other ideas. Arum would like to match Donaire against WBO featherweight champion Oscar Valdez (21-0, 19KOs), who is one of Top Rank's up and coming future stars.

"That's a great fight for Donaire and it's a fight that we look to make for the first three months of the year. It would be Donaire at 126 fighting against Oscar Valdez,"Arum told BoxingScene.com.

Valdez captured the WBO featherweight title over the summer by stopping Matias Rueda in two rounds and then made the first defense of that belt on the Pacquioa-Vargas card by halting Japanese challenger, Hiroshige Osawa, in seven.

Donaire is a former featherweight champion himself. He captured the WBA title by stopping Simpiwe Vetyeka in May of 2014, but in his first defense - in October of the same year - he was knocked out when he went down swinging in the fifth round against the much larger Nicholas Walters, who not long after that fight went up to super featherweight - while Donaire dropped back to 122.

As for who would televise this potential match-up, Arum made it clear - "Nobody has to buy anything. We are fully capable of doing our own fights. If that fight appeals to HBO they'll buy it. If it doesn't appeal to them - they wont buy it. But that's a decision that a buyer always has to make. But whether they do buy it or don't buy it, that fight's going to happen.''

OV about to retire him for sure.

running 7 miles...that shyt is crazy..the most ive ever done running wise as an adult is a little over 4 miles..but that was when i was between 205-210 pounds

Hopefully he's about to run himself down into Khabib Allakhverdiev shape...where he had the cardio to let his hands fly all 12 rounds.
