man craw gonna getting paid 1.5 mill for the likes of diaz/amir/burns/Julius...etc.

he aint moving to 147 unless its for Garcia or pac. maybe spence/khan if big enough money.

craw reminds me of klitschko...only care about money not fame.:yeshrug:

Which he should do.

If the fans wanna act like he doesn't exist, not catching on to the talent he has (which I think he's very talented of course...it's just people on here wanna make him and AB a rival, even though they don't really care about each other), and treat him like he's some boring fighter....then he should just stay where he is and destroy TR fighters/Euros/Africans/Mexicans over and over while raking up the paydays & dominant performances. Don't make the mistake AB did of running to 147 "just because". That's stupid.

At the end of the day, there is NO point of Broner/Crawford fighting right now, because no one is asking for that fight to be made. Only us. Not even the Boxing media is asking for it:manny:

Stevenson: Andre Ward Wants To Milk His Titles Before Facing Me

By Ryan Burton

Shortly after his disputed unanimous decision victory over Sergey Kovalev this past November, Andre Ward (31-0, 15 KOs) spoke to BoxingScene.com and other reporters about his future plans.

One name that was brought up was that of WBC light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson. Ward is contractually obligated to face Kovalev in a rematch but a fight against Stevenson would produce an undisputed light heavyweight champion. Even with that being said, Ward feels that Stevenson has had his chances for big fights and hasn't stepped up to the plate.

"I can't call it [if that fight will happen]. It's not even about Adonis right now. Adonis has had so many opportunities to step up and fight [the top guys]. And it's funny that all of a sudden he's calling out the winner of this fight. Honestly, I'm not even interested in talking about Adonis," Ward said. "He's had opportunities to fight [the top guys at 175] Why now [does he want them]?"

Stevenson believes there is another reason why Ward doesn't appear eager to face him.

"Andre Ward came in and he just won the titles against Kovalev so he wants to milk his titles now. I don't have a problem fighting him but I am not going to call his name everyday. If he doesn't want it then I don't care. I'm not going to kiss his butt," Stevenson stated.

Rudy Louis, who advises Stevenson, agrees with his fighter. He said they have no problem facing him but they are not going to chase him.

"If Ward wants to fight we can make the fight happen. We are not worried about Andre Ward. We are not worried about Sergey Kovalev. Whoever wants to step in the ring with Superman can get it," said Louis.

The 38-year-old Stevenson is scheduled to return to the ring in the first half of 2017 against an opponent to be announced in the near future. Joe Smith Jr. has been mentioned as a possible opponent. He is also obligated by the WBC to face the winner of the February 24th clash between the #1 ranked Eleider Alvarez and former champion Lucian Bute.

Stevenson brushed off Ward's comments by saying that the Oakland, Calif. resident can't be the undisputed champion without facing him.

"I don't need to run after him. I got the lineal championship. I got the WBC belt. If you want it, come get it," Stevenson told BoxingScene.com.

He wants to milk the titles.....even though he's locked in an immediate rematch clause? Someone wake me up when Stevenson actually returns to the ring to face a RING Top 10 opponent again as the Champion:russell:

Allakhverdiev isn't known at all in the US.....he would've gotten even less than $50k vs Crawford, just like Molina got less to fight Crawford even though he was fighting for 3 Championships in a main event vs Crawford, while vs Broner he was only in a co-main in a non-title bout.

Think about that breh:

Molina vs Broner. No titles on the line. Co-main event. Molina coming in off of 2 straight losses: a KO loss to Matthysse & a blow out UD loss to Soto in back to back fights...........but he made $450k.

Molina vs Crawford. 3 Championships on the line. Main Event. Molina coming in off 2 straight wins: a KO of Romero & a boxing lesson to Prov in back to back fights..............but he made $400k.

That doesn't really make sense to me, how you can get paid LESS to fight for 3 Championships in the main event, coming off 2 straight Ws than you did fighting in a co-main event with no championships on the line, coming off 2 straight Ls:yeshrug:

Or further....let's go to their best opposition. How much did Postol get to face Crawford on PPV in the main event in a #1 vs #2 unification bout? Only $675k right?.

How much did Porter get to face Broner on network TV in the main event in a non-title bout? $1 million.

Im just saying:manny:

#AboutBillions

:aboutbillions:
Porter is all together a much bigger name than Postol...

I don't think they decide who earns what based on the belts which are at stake I only said that "+2 belts" thing cause being an undisputed world champion brings huge respect no matter what and that because of this and the fact that Crawford is an't no nobody either Crawford could be an eve better option than Broner for Burns/Indongo, probably only for the latter cause I also don't think that Burns wants that fad again

Disagree with this... Nobody forced him to fight Postol, a relatively not known, awkward opponent he still did... I don't think that he only chases money. I don't think he will move up because of those opponents but he will move up simply cause he is a bigger jww anyways and he will get bored of 140 soon.

well Crawford team said there super dream fights are mikkey g and danny g cause they have a (potentially for mikey)big pr/mex audience.

its clear they want the big draws with good ethnic background/country following.

he only calls out pac another big draw and Garcia.

plus his team said they only will move up after they unified all belts at 140....which is why I want Julius/burns winner asap or if broner gets the belts from burns.:yeshrug:

Thank you kindly
-Ya'll remember back on :hamster: where I would do a countdown of a fighter's top 10 fights/performances with a bunch of vids in spoilers and a short write-up?
(then I randomly stopped and started doing a Minimumweight/Light Flyweight retrospective of important fights...)
I'm gonna try doing that again, with a revised list of "Pretty Boy" Floyd "Money" Mayweather's top 20 performances/fights.

I'm starting with Floyd as a barometer... he's the most popular fighter in the past decade, so...

Not sure if I should make a separate thread because that seems to be a wasteland outside of fight threads

-I'm also no longer posting random videos in this thread like I used to, I'll only post something if I wanna pose a question to The Ring. Subscribe to these guys and show em some love...

Pacquiao only got paid $1.5 million dollars to face Vargas when everything was said and done???????????????????????????????????????????????????????? :russ::russ::russ:

The whole video is a great interview, but at 7:30, they asked AB about Pacquiao needing him and went over the PPV buys of Pac/Vargas and how much Pacquiao made......which Seckbach blurted out:

Man, if yall don't get this dude outta here demanding $20 million guaranteed in order to face Crawford and talking about Broner don't deserve blah-blah-blah when he outchea getting similar paydays at this point bc nobody tuning in or showing up to watch him:camby:

Selling tickets to a Championship Fight on PPV out of Mom & Pop grocery stores, next to the tampon aisle, is not a way to sell tickets.....especially when Pacquiao bought $1 million worth of tickets himself:dead:

I said this beyond the ring to the brehs:

So....Floyd in the post fight conference talking about how's glad he stayed away for 2-3 months, had a hands off approach with Tank for this fight, and let him go back home to train with his own Team in Maryland, and he's proud of how things turned out:

....Tank needed to go back home

Everyone is NOT built to be up under the next man, looking at him all googly eyed

Tank is different....and the results were excellent. Look at how the Pedraza fight went, with Tank back in Maryland on his own and no Floyd, vs how Tank looked in April vs Avila.

Sometimes, you have to go back to what GOT you where you are in order to take the next step. Everyone isn't a guy who's enarmored by living in Vegas and being surrounded by paparazzi at every turn. Tank is a Dog. He destroyed Pedraza. And he did it HIS way....not Floyd's.

Im proud of Tank's performance and the fact Floyd admits he DID distance himself from Tank, as Tank said, and let Tank go back to where he wanted to be was a good move from him and for Tank's career at this particular moment. Shakur Stevenson going at Floyd doesn't surprise me, since he's down with #SOGGang and J Prince at this point, but he should've stayed out of it until he at least got some professional :whew: performances under his belt. At this point, I can see Floyd going in on him....especially since the crying meltdown Stevenson had because he lost.

Dude got $1.5 million to face Jessie Vargas, but wants $20 million GUARANTEED for Crawford:mjlol:

Pacquiao’s income on this fight will be determined largely by how well the pay-per-view does. In the past, he was given a large guarantee and then took a lower dollar figure per sale. This time, he’s taking a lower guarantee and getting a far larger cut of the pay-per-view sales.

“I don’t know,” Arum said Thursday when asked by Yahoo Sports what Pacquiao’s guarantee would be. The guarantee is the minimum he’d make for the fight, even if zero pay-per-views were sold.

“We’re going to put a low number on the contract because he has really no guarantee,” Arum said. “We’ve upped his percentage of the take. He’s fighting on a percentage. We can no longer afford the tremendous guarantee he was getting based on the results in the [April Timothy] Bradley fight. Rather than going in with a huge guarantee, we’re giving him an upside. We played it safe. We’re giving him a huge percentage [but with] no guarantee that would get us in trouble.”

Manny Pacquiao is taking a massive financial risk in his fight against Jessie Vargas

^^^Note that Arum is saying those type of gurantees ($20 mill) are no longer an option for TT, due to the fact that the Bradley fight performed so poorly on PPV :sas2:

Yet he plods on, partly because he reportedly needs the money. He got a few million dollars to fight Timothy Bradley in April but is fighting on percentages against Vargas, so the sales pitch is necessary.

But the fight with Vargas is a tough sell, which is why promoter Bob Arum stacked the undercard with competitive fights and is selling tickets for as little as $50. Arum is also selling the pay-per-view himself after HBO declined to take part in the distribution of the fight, and Pacquiao's purse will largely depend on how well it does.

"Anything north of 600,000 buys would be a big night and he'd make a lot of money," Arum said. "I'm hoping he makes money like the Manny of old."
- See more at: Arum: If PPV Does Over 600K Buys, Pacquiao Makes Big Bucks - Boxing News

Then he goes out and spends $1 mill on tickets HIMSELF, in order to not make the venue look as empty as it would have had he not purchased half the seats (:russ:), then after all the numbers came back.....................he ended up only making $1.5 million dollars, which means the PPV didn't sell at all:dead:

But yet he doesn't need AB:mjlol:

Broner got $1 million to face Theophane The Bum.

Crawford got $1.5 million to face Sugar John Molina.

Garcia got $1.5 million to face Ghost.

Thurman got $1.5 million to face Collazo.

Pacquiao got $1.5 million to face Vargas.

:wow:
