Alvarado is known to be wild heard stories of him coming back to the hotel at 3:00 am and fighting the next day. On my podcast , Mike of ITRBoxing.com explained one of his former sparring partners didnt want to spare w/ Alvarado because of his out of the ring stuff. Alvarado got stabbed March 3, but the fight is still on. He also talked about on thaboxingvoice tonight I believe

yes he did, but he got an injury to his hands early on in his career.

this is true....remember how bad Floyd's hands were? Paulie had hands like that and he just said a few years ago they were finally feeling good. that was when he had just came to WW or slightly before. He was never a puncher, but certainly better in his earlier career. He stopped Lozado and Senchenko at 147, much better opposition than he ever stopped and he hurt Juan Diaz. Paulie doesnt have KO power because he really doesnt throw hard punches anyway...just shoe-shine and lovetaps....however, if he sits down and turns his shots over, he can get your attention. And that is definitely what he will have to do to keep Broner from blasting right through him.

Joe and Floyd have same issues but that didn't stop them from stopping opponents.

true, they are better punchers....but must also note that Paulie's hands were bad EARLY in his career, like his 4th or 5th fight his hands were really bad. virtually when he turned pro.

true, lol. but my point was to say that any TKO by Paulie at this stage is impressive, especially at WW because he hadnt had a stoppage in like 10 years. I am not trying to make it seem like he is some puncher all of a sudden, but he can crack a lil better than perceived and thats exactly what he will have to do to keep Broner from blowing through him....and I think he knows this. no way Paulie can outbox Broner. he will to box some and sit down some.

I'm pissed that the link I had was about 10 seconds off or so. Took me until the 11th or 12th round to realize too when the announcers were calling a knockout while both fighters were standing up. Kept fukking me up too cause I'd hear the ring bell but then the fighters keep fighting for a few seconds after that. Great fight though.

Yo have yall seen that new 15-min HBO clip on Michael Buffer??

Ya man has the most winningest life maybe ever. He's about to be 70 next year and still moves like he's 40-something. And his voice when he speaks regularly...I was like wtf. Caught me off-guard.

He trademarked "Let's Get Ready to Rumble" back in the 80s & has made so many millions off of it. He's probably worth more than $100MM easily, no? He got himself a young wife 9 years ago, drives a convertible Bentley coupe, knows everybody in the world/everybody knows him, and all he has to do is be the ring announcer. :wow:

It's gonna be wild when he's gone/retired because so many millions have practically grown up with him. Like 30 years in the game...that's crazy.
Here's a link to the HBO 15-minute joint i spoke of above.
