This whole drama resembles the co-op on the Wire.

Stringer and crew (Top Rank) - trying to get that product, even if it means siding with the enemy

Marlo and crew (GBP) - looking for total domination and supremacy and will use anyone and play anyone to get it

Prop Joe and the co-op (HBO) - bringing enemies together for the "greater good" but really on interested in self preservation

Slim Charles and crew (Showtime) - waiting for the smoke to clear between the rest of the co-op so they can run their biz without interference

Straight up. I have been wanting HBO to verhaul their announce teams for years. When Merchant finally retired they should have taken that opportunity to 'deavour Lampley and get some new blood in there. I would have kept Max and that's it.
