see, what yall dont know is, word got back to the Pac camp how big and strong JMM looked in training and they tried to make JMM do OSDT but at the same time refusing to submit to the same testing! so they just went forward as is with the standard commission tests and both passed. So JMM is innocent til proven guilty. Pac felt they could overpower JMM in negotiations. Pac was making $25 mil and JMM got $3 mil which is more than what he was gonna get elsewhere.

I mean this shyt here just :mindblown:

you know at first I was like :merchant:... after pondering a little further now i'm like :shaq2:

Why nikkas got shyt to say now, but when Pac agreed to Floyds test back in 2011 then Floyd flipped from "ALL YOU GOTTA DO IS TAKE THE TEST" to "UHH UHH I CANT ACEPT ANY LESS THAN 100% ppv rev.""

Why nikkas wasn't calling bullshyt then huh?

I dont get why nikkas are so impressied Floyd did over a million... the ppv was on Cinco De Mayo weekend.. the card was lined up with a gang of Mesicans.. of course that shyt does a million..

Pac Marquez did over a million too..

nikkas do over a million everyday b

Pac is a big draw, but JMM has an enormous Mexican following. Only Canelo and JCCjr compare. JMM is largest Mexican draw of all time next to Barrera, Morales, and JCCsr. Also, Cotto is a huge draw, as evident by recent talks of him earning $10 mil to face Canelo. Guerrero cant come close to comparing to any of Pac's opponents as far as draw and recognition....not even Tim Bradley.

Its not as easy as you seem to think for a few reasons.

  • Floyd was the only draw on that card. those undercard fights were just not popular fights. Mares - PDL wouldve maybe been Main Event on Shobox but as far as Showtime Championship Boxing, it likely wouldve been part of a triple header with two other really good fights.
  • Robert Guerrero is virtually unknown by casuals outside of Gilroy. He doesnt have a huge Mexican fan base.
  • Showtime's "All Access" was "aiight" nowhere near as good as 24/7.
  • Showtime is in about 7 million less homes than HBO.
  • There was no press tour or initial press conference to announce the fight.
  • $70 is a lot to pay for any PPV, much less this card.

got KTFO so hype for that fight was non-existent. Pactards had no reason to but the fight.

 because he didnt agree until 2 years later. 2 years after TR received a contract from GBP agreeing to 50/50 split. 2 years after he was offered $40 mil guarantee (which Floyd made $32 mil up front for Guerrero, fukk he need Pac for?)

because Pac initially agreed to 45%

because FMJ agreed to pay $10 mil for every pound he came in over 147

"Before the mediation, my team proposed a 14-day, no blood testing window leading up to the fight. But it was rejected," Mayweather said. "I am still proposing the 14-day window but he is still unwilling to agree to it, even though this is obviously a fair compromise on my part as I wanted the testing to be up until the fight and he wanted a 30 day cutoff. The truth is he just doesn't want to take the tests."

Floyd Mayweather Jr. speaks, says he wants to fight Manny Pacquiao - ESPN

money was a minor issue that was resolved. ultimately, it was refusal to test that killed the fight. had he agreed in 2009-10 to do what he is now willing to do in 2013, we probably couldve had two Mayweather-Pac fights by now.
