Canelo is basically a super middle weight who drains to junior middleweight the rehydrates and uses that as a advantage. So it's not basically a catchweight if Canelo wants the fight...Floyd would damn near have to fight someone 5 weight classes bigger.

So a super middleweight should have to drain down even more all the way down to 147... that makes sense.... i'm loving all this plea coppin for the coward... keep em coming

Guys fight with these size disadvantages all the time in MMA, where size matters a lot fukking more. shyt, we just had a discussion a few pages back about how size don't matter as much as skills.

Like I said, I do not care. I'm not saying something is right or wrong. Just that Floyd's a fukking hypocrite for trying to do the exact same shyt he called Manny on just last year.

this ain't mma though...and Canelo using his weight to bully smaller opponents won't work on Floyd anyway, i still say Floyd wins as does his father. But at his age and only having 5 fights left taking punches from a man 20-30 lb bigger is not wise. Not to mention at 147 he will STILL rehydrate to about 160...so he's still at a comfortable weight.

you are looking at it wrong breh....Floyd said he doesnt do catchweights...meaning he dont meet in between weights to fight. Manny vs Margs was a CW because Manny wanted a fight in another division even though he didnt weigh in at the division limit....so by adding a CW you dont give a fighter the opportunity to weigh in at his divisional limit. DLH-Hopkins was a CW. (just so you dont think I am picking on Manny)

CW is if Floyd asked Canelo for a JMW fight but does not allow him to use the JMW limit. He is not doing that, he is asking him to fight as a WW. Whether you agree with that or not, you are not wrong for doing so. However you would be wrong for calling it a CW.

oh okay, so basically what Floydie is doing is worst than a catchweight.. instead of Canelo dropping down 3-4 lbs so Floydie can get his own belt back, he'd much rather demand Canelo drain all the way down to 147 because hes insecure about stepping in the ring with JMWs now

As I've been saying in previous posts, the Mayweather vs Canelo fight (if it ever happens) should happen at 154 for the simple reason that Floyd has fought for titles at 154lbs. If he'd never fought at 154 and said 147 was his max, then that's a different story. In similar fashion that I don't look at Andre Ward's win over Dawson as a huge accolade being Dawson (foolishly) dropped a whole weight class down being at a disadvantage, the same would apply in my view of a Mayweather vs Canelo if Floyd made Canelo drop down to 147.

I'm still thinking there's some posturing going on and or waiting for the fight to be made May of 2014, but if and when it does happen it's gotta be at 154.

Besides Canelos camp has there been any conformation of Floyd wanting the fight at 147??

We been talking about this shyt for Months now... GBP wants Canelo to have his own PPV N they want the Cotto Fight for Ginger.... in the mean time we goin have the Floyd is ducking Canelo campaign take off building hype for May 2014...the same nikka fighting on Floyd undercards, picking on Josesito Lopez N Sugar Shot Mosely, is the new Floyd boogey man N GBP N Floyd don't gotta share the ppv or deal wit the JOO

The way I see it, this is the list of potential fights for Floyd from now till the contract is up:

Amir Khan
Marcos Maidana
Canelo Alvarez
Danny Garcia
Adrien Broner
Devon Alexander

Slim Chances:
Manny Pacquiao
Timothy Bradley

Out of all those names, only 2 really trigger my attention. Unlike a lot of people, I'm preparing for the majority of Mayweather's fights to be and it's no hate towards Floyd at all, but when you're undefeated you always want to see that particular fighter in with the best possible opponent. Obviously it's not always possible back to back, but I for one can't get mad at Floyd not fighting the fighters I want him to fight, there's just nobody there anymore for the most part. This is just the reality of things right now.

Golden Boy, Al Haymon, and Floyd really have no problems saying
