I am not a supporter of catchweights, especially over the limit ones. Manny Steward used to always say it was really bad on a fighter to be fighting 1 or 2 lbs over a weight class. It hurts the fighters. Swift should be fighting his next fight at 140 or 147. there is no point in this 142 crap. If he is fighting over the JWW limit....he needs to be in with a WW.

they arent scared of anyone but still I dont like this move by his handlers or by anyone else for that matter. really, if you cant make weight, there isnt any point in holding on to those titles. yeah, I know it brings some marketability, but you dont get ready for WWs by fighting JWWs 2 lbs over the limit. so I agree with you that they may have well gotten a low/unranked WW if they were gonna fool around with an unranked JWW

ehhh.....not sure about that. while its questionable what MP has learned in the past few years working with GBP, its doubtful they know enough. still will need to co-promote with more experienced promoters for another mega promo or two. they are just now getting Nevada license. not experienced enough to swim on the deep end being that all his fights are in Vegas. this is not to say they wouldnt profit....but I dont think they are ready to maximize by being a major outfit.

Them picking Salka is bs...so is the fact that its not for the belts

They got slammed with backlash so the fight wasn't sanctioned ...which then led to them saying fukk it we ain't goin bother making 140 on some Canelo shyt

I don't think they planned on fighting above 140...they planned an easy title defense N it blew up in they face..its obvious the nikkas making decisions dropped the ball N they made themselves look like dummys
