my two cents on ward and GGG's draw .at this point they are the same...and its because of 2 things: ward's reluctance to fight outside of oakland and ward simply not fighting
GGG only needs to KO a chavez or a cotto which he is very capable of doing and he'll surpass ward in popularity

We did over 10k for the Kessler fight and 8,500k for the Dawson fight with both held in Oakland
Golovkin just set his highest attendance mark with 8,572 at MSG against Geale
Hell, SOG did 8100 against Allan Green......but GGG is a bigger draw though
I think it's fair to say that GGG has usurped Ward as far as drawing power as of right now. He does better numbers on TV, can fight away from home in a place where he doesn't have a huge "ethnic" following to fall back on against a relatively unknown opponent and still is able to do better numbers than Ward when he fights away from home. Ward's non bay area bouts against Froch & Abraham had lower attendance than GGG's fight with Gaele. And did about the same attendance numbers as Ward's hometown fight with Dawson against a more unknown opponent. And GGG popularity is clearly continually trending upwards while Ward's has stagnated if not regressed.
