man, for the first time in years, I had trick or treaters. and not just a couple. at least 30. so many kids that, I damn near ran out of candy, and I had a sam's club size bag of candy.

so unfortunately, I have to travel to california tomorrow for the next four days to spread my dad's ashes at yellowstone.

however, my flight leaves at 5:50am, and while I live in walking distance of the red line, which would be my preferred mode of travel, I don't wanna be out there at 3:30 am with a suitcase and not have my pistol on me at the time. that said, my next bet is usually to park across from the airport, but I looked at these taxes, and I cannot do this :whoa:

on top of that both uber and lyft want between $48-$62 for one trip to the airport :dahell:. I can take the train back since I get back at noon on tuesday.

ya'll see these taxes. 3 separate fukking taxes. that shyt is obscene. the fukking entitlement of the government thinking they are gonna just bend me over. I'm gonna see if I can pay a friend to make the drive.

I dunno whether to commend your free bearing idiocy in blaming illegals or shun the idea that you can't think for yourself in that regard.

Secondly, the residents need to get into the local assessor's ass because, as they rightfully say, property taxes jumping in Lawndale with no noticeable investments or increase in newer anything is iffy. Property taxes here are more or less tied to the hip with perceived living value. The assessor sees something they don't and they should get their statements as it doesn't even make sense to me.

Perennial home shopping in that area shows that things don't move quickly, even when newer things do get built. So for the assessor to bump up whatever high amount despite the slow growth in most facets is extremely fishy. The conspiracy theorist in me says builders wanna get in since Pilsen isn't giving in to gringos so easily to the east, and Garfield Park's gentrification attempts have been underwhelming to the corpo builders.

I'd investigate the assessor and anything attraction in that area, like Riot Fest, where they'd benefit from AirBnB cooperation.

you could have just looked up whats going on instead of assuming homeowners havent already done what youre saying.

or are you sticking with your story of assessors making mistakes?
