I'm actually really enjoying The Monkey :mjlol:

I knew if anything it was going to be horror adjacent but mostly black humor.

HOLY HELL the black humor is abundant
Even some of the little jokes just hit. When they pull up to his aunt's house and the realtor tries to give the teenage son a business card :dead:

The cheerleader proclaiming "THEY'RE BRINGING THE BODY OUT" to a raucous applause from the pep rally standing just beyond the crime scene yellow tape :dead: :dead: :dead:


Elijah Wood's character having all his books displayed in his own living room like he lives at a god damn book signing :russ:

Yeah fam, I know it was hit or miss for people, but I laughed my ass off the whole way through.

I'm three episodes in and this isn't bad. Kevin Bacon's having fun with it, and it's mostly comedic with some of the more humorous aspects of the Evil Dead movies influencing it. It gets pretty gory.

I wish they did more with the cheerleader but I guess they'd had to fire Jennifer Nettles.
